i just got DA2 and gonna import the save from DA:O
is there a point going through awekening before? can you even import a save game from awakening to DA2?
is DA: Awakening useful when importing to DA2?

You can import from Awakening. It affects a few side quests, but nothing major.

Yup, importing from Awakening is possible. Since this is a no spoilers section, without going into details, there are a couple of quests that may or may not be available depending on your warden's choices in Awakening.
