I got the trilogy for christmas and just finished it last night. I will talk about i liked and disliked about each game. Note that im not going to talk about voice acting, soundtrack, or visuals because they were amazing in all 3 games. Also, I played without any DLC other than the EC and cerberus network. I plan to by LOTSB, From ashes, leviathan, and the citadel for my next playthrough.
One more thing, the shepard i played as was the default male shepard, sole survivor, colonist, and acted the way i would if i was shepard (mostly paragon, with some renegade thrown in). Also romanced ashley through all 3 games.
Anyways, HERE WE GO!
_________________________________________________________________________________________
Mass Effect 1 (took me 20 hours)
+ Great Story
+ Sovereign's reveal was pretty epic
+ BECOMING A SPECTRE and MAKING THAT SPEECH ON THE NORMANDY
+ Lots of roleplaying (almost everyline spoken is chosen by you)
+ Great Characters (Garrus, Romanced Ashley, Wrex) with actual backgrounds and story behind them
+ Multiple different armours and weapons (weapons werent very unique though)
+ Saren was an awesome antagonist
+ Virmire and the Citadel Battle were amazing missions
+ Citadel was great (second fav)
+ Ashley Romance
- Clunky combat system, the worst of all the games
- Mako controls were terrible (it was good to use in the story missions though)
- Uncharted planet side missions were way too boring (only did a couple), at least the citadel ones were good
- Inventory system cluttered quickly
Mass Effect 2 (took me 36 hours)
+ Decent story (not as good as ME1's but still good)
+ That intro.
+ Even more awesome characters (Miranda, Grunt, Mordin, Thane, Samara)
+ Some interesting loyalty missions (miranda's, tali's, mordin's, garrus')
+ Garrus' Awesome recruitment
+ Meeting Wrex again = Great moment
+ LOTS OF HUB WORLDS (Omega was my absolute favourite, afterlife blew me away)
+ The suicide mission (plain epic)
+ Much improved combat system
+ Improved Galaxy map
+ Unique side missions
+/- Scanning
- The citadel was boring and dull (least fav)
- Treatment of the VS (still makes me angry)
- Low # of weapons and barely any armour
- Not being able to squadmate different arnour (Alt outfits were just colour swaps)
- Some really boring recruitments (thane, Grunt)
- Some boring loyalty missions (Grunt, Jacob)
- Extremely dumbed down skill tree
- SO MANY MERCS
Mass Effect 3 (took me 30 hours)
+ Once again a great story (IMO)
+ More of my fav characters (mordin, ash, garrus, wrex)
+ EDI and James (i dont get all the hate he gets, he's the type of guy id be friends with in real life)
+ Squad interaction with each other on missions and the normandy
+ Even better side missions than ME2 (grissom academy, tuchanka bomb, rachni cave, etc)
+ Epic Moments (grunt kicking ass, I AM URDONOT WREX, Chilling with Garrus on the Citadel)
+ Sad Moments (Mordins Death: both betrayal and cure, miranda's romanced death, fall of thessia, anderson's death, leaving earth, thanes death)
+ Geth Quarian Peace (siding with the geth is brutal)
+ Living Citadel (fav one in the series)
+ Best Combat system (super smooth)
+ TIM conversations
+ The citadel coup was awesome
+ "That was for thane you SOB"
+ Priority: Tuchanka
+ Standoff with TIM
+ Plenty of enemy variety (who knew reapers would be so fun to fight lol)
+ Those reaper horns and banshee screams
+ Hackett and shepard's paragon speech
+ Final goodbyes (Romanced ash, and garrus were touching)
+ Best weapon system (lots of unique weapons with upgrading system)
+ Planet scanning made much better and faster
+ Ashleys Romance
+/- Decent skill tree, much better than ME2, but not quite as good as ME1.
+/- More armours, and N7 pieces, but still not as many as ME1's
+/- The intro (some dumb lines, but some really great scenes, wish they didnt give us full combat skills right off the bat, shouldve been handled like a mix of ME1 and ME2)
- The ending (destroy is the only proper ending, played with EC, actually wasnt too bad if it wasnt for the plotholes and the starchild)
- Priority: Earth (isnt as bad as many people make it out to be, but lacked the sense of epicness the suicide mission had, and nothing you did impacts the scenes) . I should note that the final stand with the waves coming at you and the reaper firing at you was epic though. Also, beam run was great.
- Autodialogue (didnt really effect me as it actually matches what I would say 95% of the time, but i can see the problem)
- Squad armour customization still sucks (but at least the alt outfits arent just colour swaps like ME2s)
- The # of fetch quests (fetching and planet scanning) is insane
- Harbinger, WTF doesnt he open his damn mouth?!
- Lack of other Hub worlds
- Treatment of the ME2 cast was ridiculous (Mordin and legion were the only ones treated good, miranda was terrible but her story wouldve been better if her sister wasnt involved, AGAIN).
- Kai Leng (not as bad as many say he is, his boss battle was kind of cool)
- Geth Squadron fighters (terrible gameplay, but good story)
- GETH ROCKET TROOPS
- Cutting out certain decisions (Rachni and Anderson as councillor)
- Sexualizing certain characters (EDI and Ashley, thats why I give ash the combat armour on every mission)
- The nightmare scenes..... SMH

Well thats what i liked and disliked about each game. Overall, the trilogy (ill just count it as one huge game) is the best game i have ever played. I enjoyed making choices, romancing characters, and getting to know other ones. No game has made me actually care about what happens to the galaxy or the characters with you.
Overall, i give Mass Effect Trilogy a 9.5/10.
If it werent for that damn ending it would be a 10/10.
Like to see what you guys think.
