These games are a lot older than wikis because they're mostly from the dark ages of the internet where centralized information hubs didn't exist for anything so all relevant information was scattered across thousands of forum posts of dozens of websites...
so considering that, I'm not expecting a lot of luck here but I have to ask because I'm nostalgic as **** right now, and the infinity game mods are just so good.
Sites like moddb have barely anything on BG, and pocket plane has a mod list but it olny does mods and the descriptions are just too short and the site doesn't even upload the readme for each respective mod which I believe has potential to be a huge nuisance if something bad happened to whatever place the mod originated from.
Is there anything like a wikipedia just for BG, IWD and the rest of the infinity engine games?

There's gibberlings3 and also Planet Baldur's Gate. Not sure if that's exactly what you're looking for, but they're pretty good resources.

Isn't Planet Baldur's Gate a Gamespy site? ZiffDavis is closing Gamespy, so I'd read it quick.
