 Some dude in the lobby had a Crusader and Eagle X but his N7 ranking was only 36. Now I know your ranking only depends on your class promotions but this person was struggling on a sliver match against geth and as you guys know in order to get those promo weapons you had to beat a ton of bounty weekend challenges. Some of those challenges weren't easy like the one when you had to get an extraction vs reapers on gold back in the day when most people weren't messing around reapers on gold. So idk what do you guys think?

He most likely exploited the infinite Gift Pack glitch.

I met someone the other day with 120 N7 with Valkyrie X and Eagle X, while I do know that the guy probably never promoted, but his Challenge points were pretty darn low, at most 100. I don't know how you can get 20 events done and only have 100 challenge points considering the Valkyrie was released during Operation Valkyrie and that was during Retaliation.

No he wasn't necessarily cheating. If you create a new account but register it under the same origin ID you will get all of your commendation packs that you earned from previous weekend challenges on your old account.

I made a new PSN name for the lulz and registered it under the same origin/ea ID and had this happen to me. I now have a crusader on my N7 17 account and still cant get one on my main account, lol.

Edit: Ah you are on PS3 to? Then I'm 99% sure this is what happened.

I posted the same question early this morning after running gold with a noob, since then most of my random gold games have players running level X promo's, I would assume they used the glitch...this is XB

There's no way someone would play only 1 class whole time and also buy packs whole time without leveling up all classes up to 20 and not have N7 rank 120.

It's both improbable and impossible.

Yep, saw someone yesterday on Xbox. N7 rank 35 with a Crusader X and Eagle X. Checked his N7HQ and he had all 5 promos at X.

Dropped into a lobby with someone using a Valkyrie 10. Not sure if it's possible to have a Valkyrie 10 by now, so I left the lobby.

Stop jumping to conclusions, as my post above says you can get your old comm packs on a new account.

The impression I got from what Brojo said the day it happened is that they'll be reviewing those who opened them on a case by case basis. Even if they intend to roll back the obvious abusers it will be a slow process that probably won't start til the weekend is over.

They said we get to keep them if we did NOT maximize on the glitch. WIch would mean all who maxxed their weapons using it are looking forward to a weapon wipe.

Those who had the gift pack more than once are able to redeem them once more, but will only give them either a gold consumable or a reckoning kit. Also if you hit this issue you will not be able to get a commendation pack from impact, but lets be fair you already got your commendation weapon.

More than likely we will not be handing out bans, but would look into cases where it was obvious the player was abusing the situation and those accounts will be potentially rolled back.

I thought I saw where they were considering adding a check for the weekend challenges now because of it. If you had over the max legit number unlocked, you wouldn't be able to unlock any more until you dropped under the max limit. Don't have a source or anything, so that might just be a rumor. Makes a lot of sense though.
