But only because I can't beat Dragon Age because of them. I always start a character, then check the forums and see a awesome or unique build and think "Ooooh! I need to try this!", which has resulted in many characters left half done and eventually deleted off my hardrive (console). I still haven't beat the game even though I have played enough to have beat it at least twice .

I actually haven't checked the forums until I beat the game some 3 times. Then it's interesting reading things.

Actually, you're probably better off avoiding all the forums here until you've finished the game. I know that at least a few people have accidentally read spoilers (and not in the spoiler forum).TwD Brand wrote...

I'm the same way but with mods. I must have restarted 3 different times before beating the game just once. I also banned myself from going on forums so I wouldn't be spoiled lol

What about getting the respec mod? You can tr different builds without starting anew then.

I don't understand the obsession with the builds. This isn't even an MMO, though marketing seems to have successfully gotten people to treat it as such. Or maybe it's my inexperience with RPG forums, and people always treat RPGs like this?
Tirigon, I don't think he's a PC player so no mods. But yes, respec is quite useful.

No matter what RPG it is, online or offline, there will always be min-maxers and flesh-eating metagamers who try to design the ultimate character build for 110% efficiency. For them, that's just part of the fun of the game.

Lol, My first mage was immortal without any metagaming or min-maxing or reading builds. Just go for the coolest specs - bloodmage and arcane warrior - and think a little before leveling and it´s hard NOT to be strong....

I don't worry about spoilers, I like knowing what is going to happen so i can prepare lol.
