Why bother? All roads lead to a massive train wreck, why shell out for an overpriced irrelevant piece of DLC that doesn't fix the major issues with the game?

Not gonna pay 15 bucks for something that should have been in game at day 1. No review will change that
Why should it've been in since day one? This is obviously content that was developed well after launch.

Simply put, Mass Effect 1 and 2 left me with a feeling of awesomeness, a feeling that made all my hard work with Shepard pay off. That made me feel unstoppable when I was in control of my Shepard as long as I did the work to get there..phillip100 wrote...

Mass Effect 3 makes me feel like the exact opposite, and that the more work you do, the worse you will feel at the end, as it's all for nothing. Having a pre-ending dlc like this, especially with so much character interaction will make the pain felt at the ending that much worse. And no, this isn't a testament to BioWare's writing. What is a testament to their writing is that they could get players to feel this way about their characters in the first place, a fact of which they already knew going into ME3, what they chose to do with these emotions they evoked out of players is downright sickening.
I play games for their awesome narrative and to feel good. The Mass Effect 3 ending doesn't have either. And as a result, makes the whole game pointless. In that aspect I commend you BioWare. Never has a game ending ruined the entire game for me before.

I sometimes feel sorry for people that don't like the endings. I mean, we've all been there, watched a film or listened a song and been disappointed.
Yep, I wish I could like it, there's really nothing I'd want more. It really sucks this had to happen with Mass Effect.

Yes this.
I think many have already written a pre-review based upon what Bioware has said. The DLC will not add or change or even touch what happens at the end of the game. So, it makes no real sense to have a mid-game or before ending reunion and romance scenes. This is part of how they listened. Romance/reunion well not post-ending, who wants that? Let's do it right in the midst of everyone preparing for war. This makes Vega look like a brainiac because he thought the Citadel already looked like people were oblivious to the war. So great, let's all go gambling. Inane.
Oh, and so what if you wanted to have a real fight with the reapers, how about you go and have a simulated fight or fight friends in a match in the arena. Great idea. Shepard already isn't sleeping and is basically a punching bag mentally and physically, so why not?

This. Remember when Bioware used to come out with expansion packs that took weeks to play through? I'm guessing it will take two hours tops to get to the root of the new conspiracy, and another hour of furnishing SimShep's crib, about as long to get loud and spill some drinks on SimShep's new Batarian carpet. Compare that to what Bethesda put out with Dragonborn, weeks of game play for a few dollars, euros, or whatever more. I will read reviews, though not on sites like IGN that are supported by advertising.

Yeah and $5 for Hearthfire which is kind of fun, even though PC mods I guess have better content. It took me hours just to build all my homes and then to furnish them and find kids to adopt.
