Then if it's about fun, stick to silver. If you're not good enough for gold, then that means silver should still be reasonably challenging for you. And if you ARE good enough for gold, well then this entire discussion is pointless.
So like I said, it's pretty much about the credits.

Nah, I refuse to sugar-coat things because I've been playing online multiplayer games for long enough that I've seen this debate a million times (which should make you question my intelligence for repeatedly getting myself involved in them). I have yet to see a persuasive argument that is not ultimately distilled down to "I want higher rewards without having the skill or time needed to dedicate to the game to obtain them".

I can understand why people would want an easy mode class to grind credits or challenges, but if this is their only purpose in the game I seriously wonder what they'll be doing once they'll have everything unlocked and done. There is no fun in playing god mode all along...
Look, this is EXACTLY why people don't want this class nerfed. It's not because they think it's fun, it's because they know that OP classes in general allow them to play on a higher difficulty than they would otherwise, which allows them to collect more credits. In the end, IT'S ALL ABOUT CREDITS.
What if
We think it's a fun kit
Don't need the credits because our manifest is full
Can play gold with any kit, Platinum with most
Doesn't seem to fit, I personally love the kit but if it would help, you pick a map, enemy, kit, weapon and level and let's see how it goes in a friendly duo, because I honestly believe there is more to the story behind a nerfers position.

her nerf thats needed is the "DR %" she gets...which scales per difficulty level if you drop that lower.. it will not be as much of a degree of issue as... you already get "res DR" which means also that the DR in general is way to high for that "ability" 40% is remarkable as it negates the 40% damage increase you take from not being in cover... showing you enemies "real damage" value if you had such a DR on.. combined with the fast speed it's immensivly powerful... if the DR was doawned it would not matter as much how fast you can run to escape as you will then still take general fire...so on...this kits DR is the real issue...

...No other character gets up on dying.
I haven't played much gold+ but from what I read everyone is expected to bring & use medigels, right. So, tons of people raise from the dead. I only spec'd her for 3 ranks of that revival power, mainly 'cause I haven't found it that useful compared to her other fun stuff.
I don't get that the AIU is overpowered but I'm not one of the top-tier players. To me the Geth Jug is much more of a game changer (holds off most of those bosses so well).

But no, I just don't agree with all these people that are frothing at the mouth over the character. I personally don't care for the character. But when you can sit there and say someone BELONGS in a difficulty and too bad nerf nerf nerf, then you come across as nothing but an elitist and trying to control how others play.
And that is not cool. People have to start somewhere, and playing a billion bronzes and silvers, isn't going to show you how rough gold and platinum can get. Sometimes you just have to dive right in.
And I honestly don't care what people say, that Infiltrator isn't an instant win button. You actually have to work with it.

So why is she a fun class for you? If you don't want her nerfed then that pretty much means she's fun for you because she's a godly character, not because you enjoy the playstyle that she brings to the table. Would you like a character that had the ability to one-shot any enemy at the push of a button? Cause that might seem fun to some too, but ultimately pretty terrible for the health of the game.
And if it's her playstyle that you enjoy (perfectly reasonable), then you shouldn't mind some tweaks to either her damage output or survivability to bring her more in line with other characters.

1.) I never said anyone belong in any difficulty, and even if you do belong in silver, you can improve yourself, and make yourself better. Much like anything else in life. And arguing that people should have access to all difficulties regardless of skill level is just rather ridiculous, so please don`t go there, AND unless your playing for credits, then why on earth should it matter what difficulty is most "open" to you?
2.) People SHOULD be able to start with ANY KIT. It should be player skill, or lack thereof that determines difficulty, NOT the kit selection.
3.) I used to think this same way, then I compared the SI to the SE, TGI to the saboteur, the AIU to the talon, the GI to the GE, the list goes on. When infiltrators not occasionally, but consistently, and dramatically outclass any other "comparable" kit, it says something. And while I am drawing heavily from the engineer class in my examples, its also true vs vanguards, soldiers, adepts, and sentinels.

Actually my post has nothing to do with elitism, and everything to do with realism. You maybe took my post as saying some people should be relegated to one difficulty level and never be able to move up. If so, you took it completely wrong.
When I first started playing ME3's multiplayer, I played bronze. Because you know, I figured I'd see how hard it was and move up from there. Okay, bronze is pretty easy (I play the single-player games on Insanity, though that doesn't say much in ME3...). So I moved up to silver. Probably faced a challenge for a while until I level-maxed my classes, understood how multiplayer was different from single player, etc.
Eventually I got good enough to move up to gold. Repeat same process - go through learning curve, get better, blahblahblah. So now I'm at the point where I can comfortably pug platinum games...I haven't played gold in a long time. I'm not the best ME3 player out there, but I consider myself pretty good. And I got to where I am through a progressive process of challenge and learning and self-improvement.
So really? I think pretty much anyone has the ability to play on platinum, assuming you have (a) some time to dedicate to playing the game, and (
Otherwise, what in the hell is the point of having multiple difficulty levels if everyone thinks they should be able to faceroll gold/plat without having to work for it? There is simply a large subset of the gaming population that wants an I WIN button in every game they play.

you are one of the most extremely biased heads.
all for credits? lol, i am not really looking to improve my gameplay at this point in my me3 "career." I have pretty much achieved everything there is to achieve in the game in terms of skill level.
Then you go on and make a "well, its valid if you like her playstyle, but if you do, then you won't mind tweaks."
gtfo
she is fine as is. If bioware decides to nerf her, its going to reduce the duration of her RM, if that happens, then i, personally, will laugh at you for your useless nerf.
Hell, repair matrix doesn't even rez you half the time off-host and the shield recharge is just an animation as you get droppped instantly even with shields.
this is serious nonsense

You already know that I am not pointing "you" specifically out. Please quit trying to make that out to be that.
And I am going there, because screw the character. You want people to improve?, let them NEED to improve. And whatever the motivation to do the higher difficulties, who cares?, that's up to them. I am merely saying that it is stupid for any one person to sit back and declare that a person belongs in a particular difficulty for XYZ reason and demand according nerfs. That's an elitist attitude.
And no, while I have seen GOOD Infiltrators. I have yet to see this awesome, terrifying instant win infiltrator that everyone speaks of. It must be Big Foot. The one true Infiltrator.

So really? I think pretty much anyone has the ability to play on platinum, assuming you have (a) some time to dedicate to playing the game, and (truly invest yourself in improving your play. If silver has become really routine for you, then I have NO problems with you stepping into a gold match. If you die a lot, well, that's part of the learning process. You then have two options: you can either get better to the point where you can comfortably play gold without being a detriment to your team, or you can go back to silver.
Otherwise, what in the hell is the point of having multiple difficulty levels if everyone thinks they should be able to faceroll gold/plat without having to work for it? There is simply a large subset of the gaming population that wants an I WIN button in every game they play.
Well, you certainly came off wrong. And if I read you wrong. I'm sorry. It does happen. You have to admit this junk has been flooding the entire forum too much lately.
But yeah, personally, I was flung straight into gold one day. And I eventually found setups/stratagies and tools that work for me. I still play the lower difficulties to goof off and test out builds.
But I whole heartedly believe that people should be given a chance at any turn, or else how can they learn?. I mean so what if the stupid EDIbot can res itself?. Eventually its gonna get boring and or frustrating if they just die all the time, and if they really actually enjoy the game, they'll try something else.
But other people like the character as is, and I don't believe they should get their fun ruined either.
But like I've said, this character isn't instant win deal. You actually have to work with it. Or you are gonna die all the time.
And yeah, maybe some do want an instant-win button. But, that's not what we have here. Infinite rocket glitch, yeah. That's an I-Win button.

World of Warcraft. This is not WoW arena. This is
not COD/BF3/etc... This is the last DLC for ME3.
Think of the strong characters (and weapons) as a nice
closing out to a great game. Tone down the hate a little.
ME3 is a cooperative multiplayer game. It's a very
far cry from other games that are designed, or strongly
adapted for competitive play.
