Seriously.

It's like the Geth version of the Typhoon, only worse. You would think a gun that's heavier than the Javelin and slows down movement speed would pretty much own everything else in the AR category but the only thing the Spitfire has going for it is spare ammo and clip size.

Yeah. I only have it at 2. I had such high. Hopes for it, it looks great and really beefy but it just doesn't do the damage. It shoots a brute for far too long before dmg registers even on silver. It sounds amazing when it's ramped up I keep thinking there's lag or something but there's none :(

You expected more from a geth gun with SPIT in it's name? And after all the geth super soaker rifle jokes?

I have a Spitfire X.

Let's just say I'm less than amused.

All of the new URs other than the Lancer need serious help.

I think it was probably really good during development and testing of this DLC, and then they realized it would be totally broken on the Juggernaut so they nerfed it all to Hell before release. If they won't boost the damage dramatically, they need to cut the weight by 65% or so.

Assault Rifles in general are ****, save for the
Mattock, Harrier, Lancer, and PPR to name a few.
I haven't tried it, and based on what I'm hearing here
I won't be trying it until it's buffed to non-garbage levels.

It's not a bad weapon damage wise, it's pretty decent, not a dog ****e that's for sure.
But considering it's weight and movement penalty, it should be more that decent.

a minivan with less stopping power than most of the pistols. Seems legit.

Can we just start asking Bioware to send things to Margaritaville?

I got it. It's... well it does kill the enemy over time but it takes forever to do so. I know it has super high RoF and high ammo for super long times between getting stuff but its hard to kill with it. It's like a locust with near infinite ammo.

I have no idea what BioWARE was thinking when they released these weapons. The Adas, BPP, Spitfire, and Venom all need huge buffs.

Understatement of the year.

They could reduce the weight penalty to 2.0 and get rid of the movement speed modifier and I would still just barely be able to justify using it over a Typhoon.

It's designed for the Juggernaut, so the weight would dramatically increase your cooldowns to prevent you from also spamming Siege Pulse. With that said, it still does crap damage on him, so it's not even worth taking as siege pulse does more damage faster. I think they'll buff some of the new weapons next balance change. I'm guessing they just didn't want to release OP weapons and have to nerf them again. (Typhoon, Krysae, Falcon, etc)

It's an AR, what did you expect? It's rare that we get an AR which is actually effective.

I expected it to vaguely resemble what it was in the SP campaign.

Quite frankly yes, I did expect alot from a weapon named after the aircraft that won the Battle of Briton.

On a serious note, I don't have it yet personally but I have seen it in action. From what I can see, unless they buff it, there will always be a better choice.

Using it on the Juggster in gold and plat and it seems fine to me. But then again I was using AP ammo 3 and it was made for the Juggernaut.
