Seriously.
It's like the Geth version of the Typhoon, only worse. You would think a gun that's heavier than the Javelin and slows down movement speed would pretty much own everything else in the AR category but the only thing the Spitfire has going for it is spare ammo and clip size.
it SHOULD be the Geth version of Typhoon, if it was at least a tiny shadow of the Typhoon then it wouldn't be so bad.
but no, this is a GPR with bigger clip and heavier than a Javelin.
In my opinion this weapon should be better than Typhoon or at least, very very close.

Using it on the Juggster in gold and plat and it seems fine to me. But then again I was using AP ammo 3 and it was made for the Juggernaut.
The Particle Rifle does more damage, a lot faster. Not to mention you get to use Siege Pulse more frequently, and get to take the power damage evo in his passive because spare ammo and stability are both useless on a gun with unlimited ammo and no recoil.
There's something not right about that. The Spitfire should be a lot more powerful than anything in the AR category with all those drawbacks.

It's an AR, what did you expect? It's rare that we get an AR which is actually effective.
I expected it to vaguely resemble what it was in the SP campaign.
We can only hope, they took the nerf bat to the Adas to. But hopefully they'll buff them to effective levels. I've no reason to take the Spitfire over my PPR at the moment. Add Drill or AP ammo III and it easily outclasses it in everyway, the one shortcoming, armour pen, is gone.

As a gun that's .5 heavier and carries a permanent speed penalty, it needs to be stronger than the Typhoon, or else there's never any point in someone with both weapons choosing the Spitfire over the Typhoon.

I would suggest using it on the Juggernaut because by the time you need your siege pulses again the recharge should be done, there is no need to spam siege pulse on the juggernaut with his ability to recharge his shields. It doesnt make the Juggernaut go slower thankfully and with his Geth Weapon damage boost the gun seems great but mine you thats on Silver, I havent tried it on Gold and decided to finish my points for ADAs anti-sythentic gun first in hopes i can get more lvls on it. The 220 ammo clip isnt enough for me I need a bigger clip lol.

The PPR is better in every way at the moment, there is no reason to use the spitfire. The typoon is also better. If they are going to make it so heavy then I expect a plasma chaingun which shreds mooks and can bring down armoured bosses with sustained fire, at the moment I may as well tickle them. It's decent if I stack lvl3 amps and ammo on it, but frankly I can do the same on any of the good ARs and get a far better result.

Actually, it doesnt. What you percieve is merely a sound effect and unnecessarly high screen jarring. If you observe the ammo counter or the tracers, the rate of fire is nothing out of the ordinary, which is very foolish considering that it is a multibarreled gun and so it should have a much higher fire rate and/or a much higher damage. Right now it doesnt even deserve a rare status, let alone ultrarare.Mgamerz wrote...

But nothing beats being amused and having fun when using the gun with Juggernaut its not always fun using the best guns in the game all the time.

But yeah, it really sucks against armor, which makes it a bad boss killing gun.
They should redesign the weapon to have a lower shield/barrier multiplier (maybe 1.60?) and give it some higher base damage.

Therein lies the problem. On silver anything goes, which is fine. When I pop into silver I have a laugh and don't need to pay attention.
On gold and above, it's not fun, because the weapon is largely ineffective and you have to spend the whole match compensating for a bad weapon.

Maybe on bronze. Definitely a no on higher difficulties.
Like I said in other threads, there should be a movement penalty increase in exchange for a huge damage boost. Make it 3 or 4 times as strong.

Well with the juggernaunt i find the best way to compensate is draining for shields
