Indeed, it is terrible vs armor but it is actually fine vs shields, barriers, and health.

People just can't see past boss-killing ever since Platinum

Well, compared to the Venon, the Spitfire is awesome :innocent:

Due to all simitations of the weapon (weight, speed reduction, bad accuracy), it should do at least as much damage as the Typhoon.

It is decent against shields/barriers, but for this we have Acolyte/Reegar which are better in all aspects.

Just so there are no surprises this time, we are looking at a raw 10% damage bonus to the Spitfire. The sustained DPS on the weapon is in a pretty good spot right now but is probably a little low for the weapon's weight and other penalties. The armor damage is lower than other ultra rare ARs but the shield and barrier damage is way higher along with huge ammo reserves, so we feel it just needs a slight bump.

Slight thread hijack...

But are there any plans to work ascension mode a little? I really like the idea of ascension, but I would love it to be worth using. Buffing its damage increase by 5% and its damage taken reduced by 5% would make it an even trade ability, and worth going through the lengthy 5 second animation for activating it...

10% extra damage for 20% extra damage taken with its long animation is not a trade off that I feel I can use regularly enough to merrit its existance. I think 15% / 15% base would be a much more enticing prospect.

No plans to change Ascension Mode at this time. For that mode, we never intended for it to be a mode you keep on all the time and saw it more as a situational ability for some temporary extra offensive potential.

Inc 4 ammo makes it rip through armor. but IMO its only usable on the juggernaut, but man it is awesome on the juggernaut

A situational ability with a 5 second, un-interruptible animation?

:huh:

Ah well, I guess it's good for 10% more damage at the start of a wave. I don't think there are enough other situations where I can really afford to be trapped in a casting animation for that long.

That's fine, but I feel the penalties far outweigh the benefits of it. I can't really think of many situations where 20% additive damage bonuses are worth taking 40% more total damage. But that's just my opinion.

Yes, it IS as bad as we believe- it has only twice the damage of the Geth pulse rifle, but 5 times the weight plus it slows you down unless you are a Geth Juggernaut...

I mean you get a better weapon by simply sticking 5 Geth pulse rifles together with duct tape^^

Please consider a 100-200% increase to its duration. I think the majority of the request are not to keep it on all the time, but to increase the duration.

Considering the collector is slow, you are looking at a 10 second benefit if you are moving around the map with it.

I've always seen Accension Mode as an "opener", a buff you apply when no enemies are around right before you charge into an area with enemies. Give yourself that little bit extra power at the start.

That said, here's hoping the nerf to Repair Matrix isn't that hard on the Alliance Infiltration Unit, as it's one of my favorite kits at the moment.

I just feel like ascension mode could never help you at all which is a little lame. (I don't have the character yet just going by the stats)

Very curious to see what you have planned for the Talon.  I would anticipate a Cain nerf, which is probably okay, so long as the other changes balance the character out more. 

And, to be clear, I think the bow is an awesome idea and it's enchanted damage is fine.  But it seems to have a few mechanical issues that make it difficult for me to dedicate to building the kit around it.

Eric, I also think you should take another look at Ascension Stance as others have mentioned. Either increase the duration or increase the buffs to make it more worthwhile over high barriers or maxing his other good powers.

That's not how players are using it. If that's how it was intended it should have a duration of maybe 15 seconds or so and give higher bonuses. As it is player are just recasting it every 30 seconds (each wave is about 60-90 seconds so it's quite possible to keep it up at all times).
