We have some significant changes planned for the Talon kit, some buffs for a couple other weapons and powers, and a nerf to Repair Matrix.

No plans to change Ascension Mode at this time. For that mode, we never intended for it to be a mode you keep on all the time and saw it more as a situational ability for some temporary extra offensive potential.

Any chance at a bit of a teaser on the talon kit changes?

What about Explosive Ammo? Any changes to this ammo type coming in the near future?

10% to Spitfire is a good start but in my opinion it's not enough. Even on Geth Juggernaut it's not worth it to take the gun over Typhoon.

Typhoon has x1.5 damage multiplier after ramp up kicks in.
Typhoon has an even 150% modifier against ALL defenses. That beats 100% vs. Armor and 175% vs. shields and barriers.
Is lighter and doesn't slow you down which matters for characters other than Juggernaut.

Now, the benefit of Spitfire is the ammo clip. But I can tell you from experience - I soloed gold and duo'd platinum with the Juggernaut with Typhoon - that with the gameplay gold and platinum require, the difference is almost nonexistent.

Typhoon has already a good clip, quite sufficient even for juggernaut. For everyone else it's a no-brainer. They move fast so they can hit ammo boxes regularly. And are not slowed down.

Buff to this weapon should be considered after answering this one very important question: why should I choose spitfire when I have typhoon?

30 seconds is not enough though, 45 or 60 seoncds feel better and more usable.

Since it's so short, how about increasing the potency of Ascension Stance? It's long (albeit beautiful) animation prevents players from using it often, and even then, the cons far outweigh the pros. I mean, the recharge speed isn't noticeable unless you're packing a lot of guns, in which case you probably don't rely on abilities anyway.

I have a lot of fun with it. Just get it trained on something's Crit spot and It's amazing just how hard it drop's em. Yesterday with my Destroyer and drill 2 I killed an Atlas on gold in...10 seconds? Close but god damn he melted. Just hit the Glass amd try to hit the Turbine on the otheside 2X Critical damage XD

The Clip. That's kind of it's main draw. I think 10% will make this gun a lot better than you think. I mean, it's already a mook killer.

You can kill 20+ Geth units before you reload.

Gives me a nostalgia feeling of Gears of War 2 carrying a Mulcher.  Just not as powerful.

Oh and for anyone that says the Typhoon has a massive clip size:  Without the extended magazine mod it has roughly 54 shots before you reload.

I know that you probably already know what you're going to do to it but please don't nerf repair matrix's duration. All that will achieve is causing them to hog the grenades from offensive grenade users even worse.

Just so there are no surprises this time, we are looking at a raw 10% damage bonus to the Spitfire. The sustained DPS on the weapon is in a pretty good spot right now but is probably a little low for the weapon's weight and other penalties. The armor damage is lower than other ultra rare ARs but the shield and barrier damage is way higher along with huge ammo reserves, so we feel it just needs a slight bump.

Here's the problem with the Spitfire.

A "raw 10% damage bonus" is not going to fix the ridiculous spread of the shots and unnecessarily high recoil.
It will not fix the overly excessive controller vibration.
And what's more, it will not fix the fact that on Gold it takes almost thirty shots on the body to kill a Geth Trooper.

The gun needs a good hard look, and a raw 10% damage bonus while a good start is definitely not the perfect solution in my opinion.

I would also suggest that there might be something going on behind the scenes, because the gun is just consistently underwhelming even against the "synthetics" it is said to excel against.
The Spitfire does not need to be another Harrier, but it certainly does need to be better than what we currently are getting.

It sucks, that's all there is to it.

It's the only power of this kind that has a huge drawback and has to be recast every 30 seconds through a long animation that leaves you exposed.

Annihilation field has to be recast, but:

- it doesn't have any drawback, only benefits
- the animation is shorter
- the duration is way longer

What exactly is the reasoning behind the shafting of Ascension Mode?

Right now, casting it is way too inconvenient for it to be of any use.

I think the speed penalty on the Spitfire should also be cut in half as well as the 10% damage boost. The slowness penalty is a good idea to help balance a heavy gun but it seems excessive (I'm assuming the speed penalty doesn't reduce when it levels up?).

Annihilation field is a power. Why are you even bothering to compare it this way. Also I thought the base duration of AF was 30 seconds?

noooooo I really want to try the AIU it's probably my only chance to ever solo platinum I don't play this game ridiculously so there is a lot I haven't unlocked, PS I know it's smart but it's really annoying when people save up money and get every DLC item that isn't a UR on the first day. So the high level players can say how overpowered something is and get it nerfed before others even get to try it.

Be neat if there was a reason for suppressing fire, some component to it that made enemies duck and stay behind cover for x amount of time. (x = 10 seconds? Whatever, that'd need playtesting balance, but you get the gist.)

10% more damage? Huh, that isn't gonna help one bit. Considering it sprays bullets everywhere and barely deals any damage even on Silver to unshielded enemies, this things needs more damage and bigger multipliers vs shields and barriers just to justify taking it over an actually good AR.

Eric, please leave repair matrix as it is. People still dying with it, it's not OP as it looks. If you take skilled player that was playing this game for a year and his situational awareness, then it will look like it's op. The same as Valiant in a hand of skilled sniper, or skilled drell/slayer player.

As for Spitfire 10% raw buff is just not enough.  You getting that from the 6th shield evo, and I tell you even with +25% barrel and +30 Rail + 15% gear and all weapon passives on Juggy I still take Piranha with  smart choke over it any time. Or Harrier. Not mentioning typhoon. TBH I'm just running with Lancer which is so much better and lighter. I tell you what - leave the armor damage as it is (or buff it those 10%) but add 2x multiplayer against health. Then it will make sense to take it. In real life that's the main purpose of miniguns, btw :D You will still need almost 20s of shooting plat Atlas to kill it, but it'll take marauders and other mooks in no time (which is main purpose of giant robot wielding rain of steel in his hands, right?;) .

I like the sound of that :) , it's one of my favourite characters even if the damage of the omnibow  is a bit lacking. It's just the way you have to move around a lot and use the tactical advantages of the map, it's a challenging kit (for me at least)

I got the Spitfire today and didn't think it was nearly as bad as some people were making out. Sure the damage isn't high, but it fires forever and is a great suppressive fire weapon, which fits in perfectly with the character philosophy of the Geth Juggernaut for whom it was intended.

I don't want to start an argument about classes, but you can't deny it feels like a completely badass weapon to fire.
