I hate to say it, but the Juggernaut has completely ruined PUGs.

Every idiot is running this class. And all they do is casually stroll around the map, slow as hell, and melee EVERYTHING. Never use their guns or Siege Pulse EVER. I get it - their melee is a great survivabiltiy tool. NOT GOOD FOR DAMAGE. It's meant to help keep enemies off your teammates and as a way to revive your shields in a pinch, not for being your primary source of damage.

It honestly drags out matches way longer. An average Gold PUG is in the realm of 30 minutes now, whereas it used to be 23-25 minutes.

Or ~30-33% longer. But let's not look at it with perspective.

Everything looks like a much bigger or smaller deal when you put it into percentages.

I personally am not having this "problem". One every now and then but other than that its fine. Plus I'd rather have them use something that can take some hits, than a squishy that I have to revive every 2 minutes, depending on the person of course.

always remember fellow Juggs

fist zap for the team

when they soak up lots of enemies, and divert their attention from other players (who can then shoot at will) it can be extremely useful

stopping groups of banshees etc as well

ho ho ho

I would argue the main role of the juggernaut is to basically tank every boss with melee. With occasional siege pulse and guns mixed in for minions.

Juggernaut is not a massive damage dealer, its more of a support role.

I personally use the Jug a lot, and from what i see of other people using it, they are sadly doing exactly as you describe. I run with a Harrier and a Hurricane simple due to the fact i love those guns. But watching other, they are really under-utilizing the powers they have available. I also hate it when they go walk-abouts.

But eah, use your guns and siege pulse. Not the hex shield though, i've heard my friends hate those things as they just get in the way. I prefer the geth turret to support my team.

EDIT: this is only a handful of people doing this (forgot to mention), It happens, but luckily not too often

The people I come across in pugs have always been glorified meat shields.. Now they're just meatier.. with more shields. I don't mind.

This is rapidly becoming the standard on PS3 and it's quite annoying, doubly so since everyone who plays the Juggernaut is a complete and utter moron.

If you don't like pug's then solo. Quit whining about other people's play styles.

Oh well, let the noobs keep drawing aggro and I'll continue kill everything and get a revive medal from them.

It's a new class and people are excited to play as him, so it along with the other new classes will mostly dominate PUG's for several more weeks. Not to mention that the new Reckoning Challenge requires them to play as the new classes too.

Reckoning hasn't even been out a full week yet, people will learn how to play him more effectively soon enough.

This. While he can dish out nice damage his true strength is in tanking, grouping those bosses together while the rest of the team mow them down without the need to care about taking damage/cover.

Whilst I don't think that this is truly needed for gold he really shines in platinum basically acting as a mobile aggro death machine.

I don't like the Juggernaut much. So often everybody runs off and leaves you then you get surrounded by 4 or 5 enemies and there is not much you can do. I don't feel at all confident carrying a team with the Juggernaut, if everyone stays close to you it's fine, but if they don't (and who does want to play at snail pace?) it becomes a nightmare.

Melee is actually very good for damage on targets without armor.

I use my Saber X with him, and I'm pretty sure my buddies enjoy destroying the boss units that try to eat me alive. So no, the class is not ruining PUG's.

No, just no. The Missile Glitch ruined PUGs. The Juggernaut is just a character that is easy for new/newer players to adapt to higher difficulties.
