I hate to say it, but the Juggernaut has completely ruined PUGs.

Fire explosion/ siege pulse/ melee god of war that zaps phantoms, which may or may not be using a turret or hex shield.

If you play it right, you can take multiple praetorians and their lasers. It's a bit harder, but that hex shield and some soft cover and those bugs are toast.

Take a weapon that regenerates on its own so you don't have to run (walk casually like a boss) to the ammo box.

The people I come across in pugs have always been glorified meat shields.. Now they're just meatier.. with more shields. I don't mind.

AND they don`t shake screens so much, AND they literally can`t deal damage, its like a freakin sniper nirvana.Image IPB
"oh, you need shields from that abomination, SNIPE"
"Oh your tanking that brute? SNIPE"
And casters are really fun too.
"Oh your trying to melee husks? SINGULARITY"
"Oh you need that marauder for shields? LASH"
"So sorry, did you want to get 100 points for that assist? DENIED."

If I'm playing a Juggernaut on Gold I am looking for bosses to keep distracted so that you can quickly and safely deplete the spawn budget elsewhere. I try to do so on a ramp so that if teammates insist on helping with the bosses they're less likely to get sync-killed. During objective waves I will draw as much as I can away from everyone else so that you can get the job done.

When the rest of the team doesn't realise what the Jug is doing for them, yes, it will take longer. But that's not necessarily the Jug's fault.

And if I'm playing a Jug on Hazard Reactor... so much fun!

I played him on Collector/ Reactor Hazard/Platinum. Soooo many lulz were had and I got myself 15 revives by wave 6 or 7.
guess how :D

If you go for all melee fitness tree and bring all melee gear it is very powerful and can stagger a lot of things and kill single targets quickly. However you need to use a gun as well, like any melee class. Got 50 melee kill medal on Platinum so it can't be too bad :P

The part I don't get is never using powers.

The Juggernaut is great with guns and great with powers. Siege Pulse is probably one of the best tech powers in the game. DR when you're not using it, solid damage and CC when you do. What's not to like?

I started Puging Platinum. Juggernaut bullet sponge is a great asset to the team. I can run as a HFA exploder and these stupid Banshees will still try to hug the Juggy. Aggro is based on Shields/Health as well.

I get 28-30 minutes tops on Plat pugs because of them.

I don't melee to do damage. The damage is puny. I use PPR or Claymore to do most of the business and use melee for shield regen and locking phantoms only.

It may make things take longer but it is absolutely one of the most hilarious things ever to tank a couple Banshees just by hitting them. Well, shocking them. Whatever it is he's doing. What I'm getting at is that it's ridiculously fun to frustrate the heck out of bosses.

That's why I really don't mind seeing Juggies. They're not kill bots, they're tank bots, and they do a great job of tanking for the most part. I love killing, up close and personal usually, so to have someone takes the hits, while I do all the killing is actually quite fun.

I was afraid at launch they'd be super tanks that could kill everything, turns out, that was the Edi bot, and the Jugger was just the tank part of it with some fun support powers.

The only PUGs it ruined are those that think they can handle Gold just because another player is playing the Jugg.
It says something in Gold if the Jugg is the one layin' the deeps man.

Really? I've been playing as juggs/with juggs and have been consistently hitting 20-22 minute runs in pugs on any faction.

Yup. All the team does is fight the bosses that are dancing with the Geth.

We had a decoy, Bioware. Why did you nerf them? For this and jesuEDI?

As long as they remember (most don't) to toss out a turret during hacks and such and its not that they spec'd out of it since you'll usually see one in some random part of the map doing absolutly no good for anyone.

I've been using my Vorcha of late (love the new executioner pistol) and racking up the points flaming all the baddies that the juggy aggros.

Lol.  :o

OP, I'd normally say that you're whining and hyperbolizing, but I just spent a lot of time in the SP forum.

This seems like a well-adjusted, clearly written, and totally not subjective topic now in comparion. Go on.

It honestly drags out matches way longer. An average Gold PUG is in the realm of 30 minutes now, whereas it used to be 23-25 minutes.

If Juggernauts want to spend a whole game choking out phantoms so other people can leisurely shoot them in the brain, it can take 4 hours for all I care.

Every idiot is running this class. And all they do is casually stroll around the map, slow as hell, and melee EVERYTHING. Never use their guns or Siege Pulse EVER. I get it - their melee is a great survivabiltiy tool. NOT GOOD FOR DAMAGE. It's meant to help keep enemies off your teammates and as a way to revive your shields in a pinch, not for being your primary source of damage.

*Yawn* and yet people are whining about how the AIU is too effective.
And that the Geth Juggernaut is not effective enough.

Seriously guys, make up your mind, this is stupid.

I've noticed this as well. I use the Juggernaut with a PPR and kill everything by Siege Pulse and shooting so I'm not one of those lumbering do-nothings.

I don't mind too much though, since I usually do the actual damage anyway.
