Seriously though, I can think of so many things that people say destroyed this game. Reegar (people running around and dying instantly), Flamer (same thing, except DAT NOISE and they ruin my BEs Image IPB), etc.

Give it a bit! Reckoning's been out for less than a week- people are still learning how to use it. It's really much more pathetic with the other examples- because they've been out for AGES.

Yeah, a character who can soak up tons of damage and tank an entire wave of enemies is ruining pugs.

Not quite accurate, it blocks MOST direct shots, but a LOT of AoE damage spills "around" the shield, stand back from it a pace or three and you`ll notice a giant difference, except against praetorians and scions, those are still broken.

Ravagers as well.

Those three enemies fire clean through the shield, Geth Bombers just float over it like a Tugboat of Doom--and Prime shots will sometimes go through.

I've seen terrible Juggernauts and really great Juggernauts. The terrible ones camp in a corner with a Javelin in hand, meleeing whatever gets close enough to be irritating.The good ones act as a vanguard to the rest of the team and try to draw the attention of enemies and absorb as much damage as possible, using hex shields and turrets to keep them protected and melee-absorbing phantoms and geth hunters that get too close. Good Guy Geth players take the squad command evolution at the expense of their own max survivability to make their teammates more awesome.

I love the class, and it's easy to see why.

the few pug matches I have been in with people using this class are absolutely awful. They don't do anything but the melee attack. I saw one sit there for a good minute sucking the armor off a brute. Objective waves they never participate in, I was yelling at some dude using one to come help with the escort....he said it would take too long for him to walk to it.

pugs have been ruined for a long time though lol

Stick it through and stay with your FL. Thankfully these morons are rather infrequently on Platinum.

Ok, for all the people not getting the point of my post. I never said anywhere the Juggernaut is bad - I'm saying randoms are playing him like a complete idiot, and are barely dealing any damage at all. The kit can be good, and that was not the point of the thread.

Most Juggs I see score around 30-50K, which on Gold means you're being either carried, or are killing stuff way too slowly.

I think it's the Ghost.

Today we found 3 Ghost PUGs in a row. I beat them by tens of thousands using my Juggernaut that has no points in his passives.

I was so mad.

25 minutes imo. 30 minutes either means some people suck or we do low dps. I.e. Jugs HMing everything.

They keep the larger enemies at bay while I dark channel/warp/throw/etc. biotic esssssplosion them. Sure, they're usually the lowest score on the board, but I've used less medi-gels & ops survival packs in the last week because of them. I'll take that trade-off.

I did have one a hilariously terrible match yesterday in the Glacier 'back room of shame', where everyone was being downed constantly because of mass amounts of enemies in that room. Three's a crowd, but this was an orgy of enemies gone awry.

Vader death choke away for the entire match, my Juggernaut teammates!

So a class that absolutely tanks 2 banshees, 2 - 3 brutes, 3+ marauders, 3+ cannibals, 2 ravagers, and a million swarmers is being carried? Maybe, just maybe the lack of incoming fire in your direction is what let you get a high score in the first place? Or all the nice kill bonuses you get for finishing off the enemies the juggernaut engaged first? 

And at your OP, nobody will use siege pulse unless theyre in a position where they can eat an 8+ second cooldown and lose 40% DR, i.e. it wont be often.

And randoms will be randoms, at least with the juggernaut they are more effective decoys.

Can use it quite often if you aren't always in the middle of enemies. The problem is not lost of DR, its the casting time. Reason: Only use siege pulse after the CD is finished. But the casting time may get you killed.

I didn't ask for build advice and I don't want it. I play the Juggernaut for Siege Pulse as my main source of offense, therefore all damage and recharge. I don't suck bad enough to need 40% DR on a class with 4600 shields without a Cyclonic Mod while absolutely never taking advantage of its offensive capabilities. And tanking while dealing no damage is boring as hell - not interested.

And by the way, I don't go down a lot because I'm a competent player. Not a scrub who walks around slowly killing everything with a melee clearly designed for its utility rather than damage.

You took the one extreme. I could do that too: 7/23 = 30.4%.

And for the person who compared it to playing a melee Krogan, are you serious? Let's ignore the fact that a Krogan in rage can 1-shot any mook in the game and can RUN, therefore making his killing speed multiples times faster than a melee Jugg, who takes seriously 4 seconds of melee to kill a Gold Marauder.

I'm slightly happy the Juggernaut is so survivable, I mean, PUG aren't doing any damage, but they aren't dying every 2 seconds at the other side of the map, asking for a revival.

I play exactly like this and am never at the bottom of the leaderboard - in fact in many cases I have repeatedly revived team mates and carried waves - so what if the game takes longer? Half the time im the only reason they even reached extraction. Its a class I tend to pick when I am out of medigel, trust me its better than the alternative of me dying all the time.
