I hate to say it, but the Juggernaut has completely ruined PUGs.

In their defence I can add my own experience playing the char for 2 games. I don't like him. I only got to fire my Spitfire in the first 2 waves. From 3 onward I found myself constantly swarmed by dragoons and phantoms etc. I had to perma heavy melee or I go down. Was very boring.

Yes I am sure there is a better way once you get the hang of him but that is what I found.

But yeah for those who like it, he is the ultimate meat shield.

Bad players were ruining pug matches long before the volus and juggernaut ever became fashionable. Missile glitchers, leeches, those people thinking they can melee sync kill units on level ground...etc etc. A poorly played Volus is damn easy to spot, shield boost spam anyone? Same goes for the juggernaut, shield drain spam anyone? Unfortunately all of our posts here are typically just a case of preaching to the choir as the guilty parties never read this stuff. Best hope is to teach em in game if you have the patience. It not, just gonna have to deal with it.

Correction. Ultimate hardened outer shell and synthetic muscle tissue shield. Meat is an organic structural weakness

FIVE TO SEVEN WHOLE MINUTES

Or ~30-33% longer. But let's not look at it with perspective.

Honestly, if you care that much about the time of your match, then find some speedrunners here on BSN and play with them rather than going into a random game and expecting them to care about finishing as quickly as possible.

You should just be glad that you no longer have to revive your three random teammates every twenty seconds.

Complete fools & noobs who can't even finish solo Bronze are coming into Gold/Platinum lobbies with L11 Juggernaut thinking they're invincible with their AVENGER Mark 6.

Usually they're permanently dead after 3rd Wave.

I am usually very reluctant to kick people in general when it comes to difficulties bronze, silver and gold.

In fact, if everyone else is level 20 (and has some skill), having ONE level 1 guy is not really that much of a problem unless one of your level 20 decides to do a semi- afk credit farming so you end up being essentially a team of 3

But when it comes to platinum, then matters are different.
One low- level guy can significantly lower the odds of success :(
Platinum is a difficulty that should only be done when having level 20 and a proper loadout.

If you are a N7 Destroyer soldier then being level 16 is not THAT much of a problem because the multi- frag nades aren't THAT important for a destroyer anyways (on higher difficulties they lack damage output)

If you insist doing Platinum with a level 13 character (what is incredibly dumb, reaching level 18 using gold matches is quite easy) then please use proper weapons and a proper loadout.

Oh, and one more thing:
If you think you wanna kick someone, take a look at their N7 rating.
People with 1000 or more DO have some experience and you can rely on them since they know what they are doing.
I myself have quite the humble N7 rating, but that is not because I haven't played much, I simply didn't bother promoting my characters very often to keep them at level 20 :D

Honestly I see a lot more quick matches because of the team work with the Jug. I go in and take on the boss unit and/or Phantoms and hunters and my team takes them out with no worries.

Bad pugs were bad before, and they're still bad. The Juggernaut has nothing at all to do with it.

All of the kits could use minor tweaks, but they're all about the same when played to their potential. Some are harder to maximize, some less so. Who cares? The big problem is people who belong on bronze/silver that are playing gold/platinum. It's made platinum pugging virtually unplayable for me.

Crying about Juggs and AIUs is just the flavor of the month. Krolords getting synced constantly and omni-bow being lackluster will follow. It's the ebb and flow. Play with friends or STFU and take it. There's other forms of entertainment out there to complain about.

N7 ranks are lies in the eyes of the MP gods and you will be punished with mission failure for your henious crime!

The level of weapons is what matters more than anything and what gear and/or consumables they are taking along with them.

If they're running round with some good URs/ have most rare weapons maxed, and are bringing some hefty lvl IV consumables to the game, then you can be fairly sure they're in it to win. And not trying to sponge crdits off your hardwork. I haven't seen many people stack that many consumables and have a high class loadout then go AFK.

Although you can never be 100% sure unfortunately, sh!t still happens.=]

Just so you guys know, the OP is not talking about all of you on the forum who are obviously gaming GODS, he is talking about the the PUGS who really don't have any idea how to play. So don't get so butt hurt over it.

An average player with a juggernaut is actually a big help for me. Because they tend to attract the entire spawn, i base AoE attacks such as tech explosions, grenades or BEs on the target they are meleeing. No dodge's possible while in juggernaut's heavy melee.Only problem is if the target dies before i can get off the detonating power.

what sucks is that "Silver"-guys think, they could play gold with the juggernaut and instead attack/malee bosses run away from them...

It's true that even Platinum becomes trivial with the Juggernaut, especially if you are taking the Reegar out.

However, I found myself reluctant to go as far as playing him at low level in pug matches, a bad or far away host means that heavy melee won't register half the time, leading to shameful death.

Every idiot is running this class. And all they do is casually stroll around the map, slow as hell, and melee EVERYTHING. Never use their guns or Siege Pulse EVER. I get it - their melee is a great survivabiltiy tool. NOT GOOD FOR DAMAGE. It's meant to help keep enemies off your teammates and as a way to revive your shields in a pinch, not for being your primary source of damage.

It honestly drags out matches way longer. An average Gold PUG is in the realm of 30 minutes now, whereas it used to be 23-25 minutes.

wut? i get a shotgun omni blade, a strength enhancer III, and i kill a fully barrierred phantom with a heavy melee. is that not a source of damage?

The problem isn't the juggernaught its the people learning how to use him effectively but I have noticed a large amount of Juggernaughts and Warlords this past week. I like the AIU myself.

He was looking at it with perspective.

It's only a couple of extra minutes. You're playing a video game, so obviously your're not doing anything important so just enjoy it or play with friends.

thats kinda your job as a jugg, the more sync killers on you the better but it does require a decent team to actually shoot things before the damage becomes to much

i see this more on plat but ya very very annoying, i think you should really only have 1 jugg per team so if someone else is already a jugg i'll swap to something else then game starts and they hide from every single sync killer

You can't complain about the new characters this early. It's only been a few days since they were launched and a lot of people have just unlocked them.

Give it time, people will eventually get bored with how slowly it moves and their numbers will drop.
