This is immensely stupid. Did they learn nothing from Ubi's DRM?
Isn't Ubisoft still pushing their own version of Origin?

"I would actually say that The Walking Dead on Gface would make more money than anywhere else," Yerli added. "The Walking Dead would be a primary example of how, with some innovation, it would work even better with the free-to-play concept."
Yerli is referring to Crytek's social platform, the browser-based Gface which is still in closed beta. He said it's not a distribution platform with tacked-on social features like Steam and Origin, but instead serves as a library of titles that friends are playing together. It's a gamer-focused social network with its own news feed, people cloud and more. Naturally Warface is the only highlighted game.
Riiiiiiiiiiight~
So not only would you inject Walking Dead with sketchy monetization "features" if you had the power, this marketing blurb for your Gface is some of the most vague bull**** I've heard in a while
Mr Yerli, how about you go back to what you're doing, and stop telling me what kinds of games should be available to me? Because if I wanted social networking, I wouldn't be playing single-player games. I'd be playing more Guild Wars 2

Ditto. I hear too much of this from Crytek. Maybe you're mad because Crysis 3 sucks and sales suck? Eh bra? And go peddle your crud on the no-used games, DRM new Xbox as the vast majority of gamers who are on PS4, because that is where we will be, laugh and beg you to stay away from us. And the PC gamers can remind you that Crysis 1 was good but the others sucked.
Also, tell that fool to not buy a used car or used house.

Stop planning to "enhance" my gaming experience in ways that would ruin gaming for me, please?!
The Walking Dead would be a primary example of how, with some innovation, it would work even better with the free-to-play concept.
Seriously, somebody make this ****** stop!?

You'll think fondly of Origin once you experience Uplay.

Yes, but it isn't always online--a huge, huge difference.
Not difference from Origin, as it is also offline, but from their old always-online DRM.

Well put. Its all the annoyance of having to sign into a service to play a game with none of the actual benefits of using say Steam or Origin. For example you can't even download a game or DLC through it.
Have to do those as a download from Digital River (entirely separate service) with a limited timeframe to download it.
And if you buy one of their games through Steam, its a separate version of Uplay you use that isn't connected to the version you get from games you got other ways. Its a hot mess currently.
