Please extend the duration of Ascension mode on the Collector (Don't Toggle it)

30 seconds is too short, and considering how long the animation takes, you don't want to be trying to consistently activate it.

There are enough penalties for using it to begin with, please double its time.

The extra damage you take is enough for it to become a toggle. No other character that I can think of has a power which increases the damage taken by the user.

thats what saints wants...

i dunno... i don't know if bioware can do something like that without a patch

toggle would be better though

either way, most will agree that its too short

I agree with Saints. It should be togglable. Otherwise, it should give you an equal damage buff to how much more damage you are taking... Or something.

If it's enough to last a full wave then I would be fine. Maybe from 0:30 to 3:00 so increase duration 600%?

Yeah it doesn't last long and that animation doesn't help it either, if they make it toggle then I think it would be better if they switch the light and heavy Melee, like light Melee puts you into ascension and heavy Melee does that hand blast he does.

It should last at least as long as Annihilation Field (90 secs.), but even that would be too short considering the epic start-up animation. Maybe 120 or 130 seconds IMO.

And maybe get less damage penalty as well? That would be worthy of speccing into.

yeah, the animation is easy to forget...

90 seconds is good for me.

again, i don't know if they can allow you to toggle it on or off without a patch...

30 seconds is the current duration. I suggested 3 minutes, hence the 600% increase duration note I put at the end. Whatever they do it needs to be at least 90 seconds like stikman said.

Just drop the damage taken, and increase the time to 90 seconds.

It also needs the damage penalty taken away. Only then will it be a justifiable option to invest in. There is zero reason on even bronze to sacrifice fitness for -20-40% overall negative damage reduction.

Absurd.

The damage taken is too high, the animation takes too long, and the duration is too short. I did like Ascension Stance, but I've since respec'd to a no-Fitness build. I will let you know how that goes.

The damage taken is fine in my book. Removing the damage taken is way too much. Its giving a 40% damage bonus for nothing. Thats like having Tactical cloak on, all the time.

extending the time is a good start.

We can always work from there.

Unfortunately, i don't think they will change the animation, it isn't worth it.

 The problem is that the visualization of Ascension Mode is easy to forget, and 30 seconds is quick for your eyes to pass over. Also, the Asari melee-like animation takes way too damn long and can get you killed.

Possible adjustments:
  • Extend the time to 60 seconds
  • 75% damage reduction during activation OR increase the animation speed
  • Movement speed bonus of 15% while active
  • Damage dealt needs to better match damage taken: base dmg bonus increased to 15%
  • Improve the visualization of the glow to better match that of the possessed Collectors so you can easily know when it wears off.

[*]Anyway, i don't think the 75% damage is necessary... the speed is better. The reduction seems off, since you really shouldn't be doing it while around enemies.
[*]Speed bonus? why? it doesn't really match up.. he gets a speed reduction rate, which i think is fine. I can't imagine collectors being zippy characters....

If I press heavy melee while ascension mode is still active, do I immediately renew it for another 30s or does it actually cancel it?
