Please extend the duration of Ascension mode on the Collector (Don't Toggle it)

That assumes they can.

There's a pretty good chance it's duration or nothing at this point, unless you want to wait for them to decide it's worth putting in a patch.

Hell, if i could, i would test DLCs (and sign a contract to keep quiet) for freaking credits...

I was a bit disappointed with my 1 mil+ earnings today not gettins a singly freaking UR.... seriously. Lancer 1 and Venom 1... thats all ive gotten from 6-7 mil....

also got a valkyrie IV today <_<, terrible platinum gun.

anyway... back to what the topic was....

I wonder if they use game testers who are unfamiliar with the game....

With the major increase in damage taken it should definitely be a toggle.

Addition of damage reduction and movement speed bonuses would NOT require a patch. They've done those with melee powers via balance changes.

You and me both, lol.

Since the majority of players well... play silver (could of been tested on added with some changes for gold/platinum) ascension is not not much of a hassle on it. Us 30% gold/platinumers might suffer for silver testers.

Are you even aware of how squishy you become if you spec only into ascension mode? With Ascenion mode your barrier/health is lower than a Volus that has zero fitness... lower. I'm sorry but not only does it not make sense(Possessed troopers get more durable) but it is also completely impractical. 

Either remove the damage taken completely and settle with 975ish barriers from the first 3 fitness ranks. Or add damage reduction while lowering 40(or is it 30?)% max damage output to something more reasonable to compensate.

I don't care how much platinum you play. That does not excuse the reality of how impractical throwing -40% damage taken on a character is. If Ascension mode is going to get a duration buff, then it is critical for it to lose the damage taken penalty. 


It is not feasible, period.

I meant to only cross out the latter half of your second point. I don't think movement speed is included in Ascension Mode now, is it? I may be wrong on that one but if I'm correct that it's not already present, then you'll need a patch. 

And if you know about what does and doesn't require a patch why put things in that you know require a patch?

No they haven't. :blink:

They've changed the damage reduction on powers that already gave DR, and changed the movement speed modifiers on powers and enemy states that already modified movement speed... but they've never added a new feature to a power in a balance change.

You can say the same thing for Pheonix Characters and Dragoons. Dragoons are faster when walking and be able to shoot while attacking and have armor instead of health. I'm assuming when a Collector faction member is possesed it is being controlled by a Reaper right? Reaper possesion= benefits. When a Awakenend Collector goes into Asension it goes into "overdrive" instead of being controlled by a Giant AI. That being said "overdrive" will usually have "costs" meaning being able to take less damage. Basically he is not getting benefits like the Reaper controlled because no one is giving it to them.

It's still impractical. That leaves 975/600 barrier/health with a -20 penalty. He's about as fragile as a maxed fitness Volus now. The severe damage penalty is just too much.

Ascension Mode nets a -20% damage which can be upgraded to -40% if you feel like you can handle it (obviously we get that you can't). If that 40% is too high well, Seeker Swarms do a listed value of +10% each and can be upgraded from a Swarm count of 3 to a Swarm count of 4. What do you know? That's effectively the same thing, as long as you consider the paper numbers to be accurate. 

No other character gives you the opportunity to play as a normal character or as a glass cannon (and anywhere in between).

lol, damn....

I personally have spec'ed out of seeker swarm (for my latest go around), although I will test more builds out in the future. Works really well on platium.... so long as you aren't trying to tank enemies...

I meant... serious 1 hit from a phantom shield gates you anyway... so what does it matter if it does 40 % more yet taked you down the same?

The only enemies that a get a bonus from that are mooks... and i kill those

Not gonna work. People with max DR specced swarms would have an easy time maintaining a very fast cooldown and extra damage.
