Had to carry a entire pug on platinum... Unfortunately we fail on wave 7 when i got instant kill by a phantom. Every wave was a solo grind fest.
You took a pug into platinum. What? You thought something good was going to happen? I pug platinum all day and i do it knowing i will have to carry and solo without getting sync killed. Pugging platinum is a lot like soloing platinum. You cannot get sync killed.
You do realize that not every game is a guarantee success when pugging, out of the 21 pug platinum games play since reckoning dlc this is my first fail. This isn't the first time I've had to carry a team and most time I am successful to extaction even with the most terrible team, did so one time with low N7 players all below 100 and successfully extract. Don't go out making assumption thinking that I don't know about the horrible pugs matches out there, because I'm very aware of that fact.

The people I got paired with all had level four rare weapons or less. I ran a Jugg.
I solo'd the entirety of the game because the dumbasses kept running out of the box and getting insta-killed and they were incapable of handling objectives.
I doubt those morons could have done silver.

Sorry we all can't be a great and powerful as you, oh mighty. Dude you failed a silver game. You have no right to complain about loser pugs. You are frankly one of them.
Did not mean to come off as condescending. But why play with pugs if you can't carry the team?
Then what am I supposed to do? Play solo Broze when none of my friends are on? Solo silver with level 2 weapons so I can work on my banners? I usually don't have a problem carrying a team through the end of a wave if needed, but I'm counting on the team to get through most of the wave, not die/bleed out 45 seconds into a wave leaving me to finish it off with a low level weapon I'm not really used to using. You say you didn't mean to come off condescending, but saying "Dude you failed a silver game. You have no right to complain about loser pugs. You are frankly one of them.", how could you not?
@OP - I'm with you, I can clutch a silver wave if need be, but I do expect the other team members to contribute and attempt to work cooperatively, I try out new builds/weapons on silver too. I've been playing gold pugs today, I can clutch early waves but not later ones, but extracted on some games as the team was good. Others, not so much

I don't see the problem, OP was complaining about bad pugs when he himself contributed to the bad pug. They were pointing out this fact, stop being hyper-sensitive about it.
How, exactly, I was contributing to a bad PUG? I was using medigel, before I was going to be stomped. I used ops packs, when I was about to go down. The other people in the match didn't medigel, and the Slayer who charged the Scion should have known better that it has a good chance to instakill him if he did. I try to help my team as much as I can...was flaming the abominations before they got into explosion range. Was sniping Captains through walls. But I don't think the Fury set off one biotic explosion the entire time, or at least set up the Slayer for him to charge with dark channel. And I don't recall the FQE using incinerate to detonate fire explosion from my flamer targets. That to me is what a bad PUG is, a team who don't use their abilities to help each other out. So if my teammates refuse to medigel themselves and insist on waiting to be revived when they went down in the middle of a spawn, then why should I waste my medigel carrying them through the rest of the match?

No-ingame consumable use. This is terrbile.. especially during Gold games.
If a player is absolutely terrible, but use his rocket to blow up one Praetorian, banshee whatever, I know instantly this guy is doing what he can with his best effort.

Being able to solo is not the same as carrying bad PUGs. Average+ teammates make things better. (At least they provide one more target to distract the bad guys.) Bad teammates can make a tough match impossible.
Advice for the OP: play PUGs like you're going to solo--if you find a good group, play your experimental build in the second match.

Of the other 2 players, one completely refused to help on objectives, and the other one, well... We got a hack on wave 3, and after 20 seconds or so I noticed I was the only one there. Since my policy is that I won't do hacks/escorts alone and earn credits for 3 selfish teammates, I ran off and started killing stuff, too. With about 1:30 to go, the 4th player (a krogan) finally must've realized the situation, and ran over and finished the hack himself.
Wave 6 was an assassinate targets, then 10 was another hack. I thought the krogan, at least, would've learned his lesson by now, so this time I ran in and helped him. After about 15 or 20 seconds, he goes running off, leaving me alone again. So again, I left, too. A little while goes by, and eventually he goes back to the hack. So I went back and helped him. And almost immediately, he runs away. He and I probably did that 3 or 4 times before we finally got the stupid hack finished.
So we got an extraction, but between the one glitched-out guy who turned the match into a trio, the guy who wouldn't help at all, and the one who only wanted to help when he was absolutely forced to, that was the most annoying PUG I've had in recent memory...

I gelled once, to get us to Wave 6 and some more money, but after than I refused to the next time I went down due to a Scion blast.
So you refuse to medigel and then complain when you fail a match, makes sense.

We failed to make it to extraction, yes. But when you have teammates the refuse to help contribute and seem to want someone else to do it all for them, it does make it difficult to do that. And yes, it was silver, but I don't see where that makes any difference.
Why should I waste my time & consumables to get them through wave after wave when they don't seem interested in making it to the end by not using their own just so we can get it extraction? I try to revive my teammates when they go down, but sometimes there is just too much to deal with that I can't just run over to them on the other side of the map to do so. And if I go down, I'll try to wait for a teammate revive but if I'm about to be stomped, I'll medigel and get back in the fight. None of them did that. That's why I called it a bad PUG.
I had already clutched two of 6 waves we did manage complete because everyone else was taken out, either by instakill (Slayer) or by getting executed instead of medigelling..I knew it wasn't going to get any better in the later waves, so when I got taken down by a Scion blast after 2 of the others had already been wiped out, I refused to medigel myself and figured I'd just take what credits we had already made and drop out of the lobby once we got back to the main screen.
I have no problem having to solo some of the wave if my teammates are at least contributing, but if they aren't, why should I have to be the one to carry them wave after wave after wave just so they can get the credits they aren't really earning?

Yep, I made the choice not to medigel after my teammates refused to do the same. I figured if they weren't going to, why should I waste mine. Since I had already soloed 2 previous waves after they refused to eariler.oknenah wrote...
