I'm obviously speaking about Flemeth.. I could'nt allow her to harm my beloved Morrigan, so the sentence was: death!

Basically, the fight is like any World of Warcraft boss encounter, with tank, healer and DPS.
I killed her in Nightmare mode at level 12-13, with Shale as a tank, Wynne healing, Lelliana ranged archer, Wynne as a healer, and my dwarf warrior Balduran with two hander axe... Keep in mind, however, that the more ranged DPS you have, the better it will be.

Here are some tips for this fight:

1) Equip Shale with a fireproof crystal, and give her (or any other melee) Incense of Awareness, Warmth Balm and Rock Salve (you'll find them in shops, at a low price). Make sure you have tons of mana/healing potions: it will be a hard fight.

2) When the encounter starts, make Shale (and any other melee) rush to Flemeth and use defence/armor potions as soon as she gets close to her (be prepared to be knocked out at least once in your way).
While Shale aggroes the boss with her talents, make Wynne quickly cast Lifeward* on the golem, followed by Regeneration as soon as Flemeth starts her damaging attacks.
Make Lelliana (or your ranged DPSers) go on the north-west corner of the screen.

3) Position Shale towards east, so that Flemeth's back is turned to Lelliana and your other damage dealer (in my case, Balduran and his axe) so that they can hit harder**.

4) Make sure Shale always has Regeneration on, and be ready to make her use healing pots whenever Wynne has her healing spells in cooldown. Flemeth hits like a train: in particular watch out from her "biting" attack, able to wipe out half of Shale's healthpoints
Sometimes Flemeth will attack the other melee with her tail/wings, just make him/her use potions.. ok, Wynne can also hel your other DPSers, but keep in mind that her primary task is to heal the tank.

5) Kill Flemeth & enjoy the loot :happy:

*:  when I fought this battle, Wynne still had'nt learned Lifeward

**: this fight will be easier if you already have the sword Yusaris the Dragonslayer, a weapon you can get in the Circle Mage tower, performing the third ritual.

Dagger/Dagger Cunning Rogue built as a Backstabber makes this fight easy. So easy, in fact, that my character has been getting harrassed by the SPCD (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Dragons) ever since.

Shale never gets bit or grabbed--used her for all three dragons and the broodmother. Flemeth will bite your other characters though.

I used a warrior with Indomitable on so she couldnt stun me or knock me down and I had Wynne use grease and Flemeth kept setting herself on fire and eventually helped kill herself. I thought that was funny.

I soloed her with an 12th level Arcane Warrior on Nightmare level wearing Wade's superior DragonScale armour. Just stood back and let her spit fire at me whenever she felt like it.... Second easiest fight in the game.

Wades armour totally ruins her fireball, I also use Yusaris agains any dragons. It's probably not a coninsidence that you get it in the first place you're supposed to go.
