You could also try going naked for a little while.  Pop the cover off of your PC and maybe even point a real fan straight at it.  Not elegent, but if you can suddently play for 30-45mins or more you know you are about to get into the market for a third party card fan.


That's how I manually cooled it down after it heated up.

I have to get the air can first, off to do that now.

But in terms of setup, it goes like this:

...............................V - top fan
<-top rear fan
<-Rear Fan<-fan on heatsink (Thermalright 120)<-front fan
<-graphics card

Sometimes dust bunnies get under the aluminum facings they put on the heatsinks these days. Canned air doesn't always work: I once extracted a nearly cotton-ball sized clump of dust. It definately caused overheating.
