Watching it for a second time, this feels really weird and out of place... I mean this seems to be a dlc for the "happy ending craving", "more LI stuff" "more ME2 squaddies" crowd. Which is not a problem if they serve some quality plot material with it too.
The question is, whether they do throw a bone to those who play this game for the lore and story as well, or not. I hope the plot is interesting and contains some cool ME lore too and it's not only a cheap excuse for the soap opera stuff which is presented in the trailer.
I enjoyed Leviathan and From Ashes very much, I also enjoyed Omega for what it was.
Will this dlc present an interesting story or is it truly aims to please only those who wanted the happy, emotional character moments and happy ending wibe? If it is exclusively the latter than it will be a very out of place dlc, in this pretty grim war story.

Why I am waiting for reviews.
Too late for me: I already bought those Bioware points... now I keep my fingers crossed, cause what I've seen so far does not do anything to me, beside making me cringe ocassionally.
Also seeing all the praise this trailer gets kind of explains to me why I was in a very different leauge than the majority of the ME fans (who hated the ending even post-EC). I'm more of a ME1-ME3 fan than of ME2, and I definitely played these games for the story and not for the emotional moments, romances etc..

That said, it is quite the shame BW cut that last conversation between Anderson and Shepard on the Citadel short, and didn't restore that for EC.
I think it's because they realized the extended dialogue conflicts with established Anderson lore; he says he never had kids when it was established in the first book that he did. I'm at work so I can't double check the extended dialogue.

Seeing that red dress.....DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN!!! Can't wait to see what awesome dress Tali has if she's your LI.....and she's always mine. Out of ~10 playthroughs of ME3 so far and 30+ ME2 playthroughs I have never deviated from this and I never will.
Screw a new dress. Just do a face model and I'll crap my pants.

the dlc looks good.
Glad they show a scene with Samantha.
My first playthrough of the dlc will be with Miranda and Zaeed being the only ones to survive the suicide mission. It should be interesting.
It'll be Shepard with all his "friends"

Well a good trailer (Wrex is awesome), why was there no Liara romance tease or at least a personal moment tease?
-Garrus and femshep dancing romantically
-Sheploo and Steve holding hands
-Shepard and Kaidan toasting
-Shepard and Jack having sex
-Miranda and Shepard in very personal scene(Miri is also wearing revealing clothing)
-Sam in a bra
-Ash smiling suggestive
Yet all Liara get's is a few action scenes. Don't tell me Bioware listened to the vocal minority haters...
Sounds like they lazily recycled images we already have and worked them a bit:
Garrus and femshep do a dance kiss moment on the top of the citadel. If this is a repeat of that, then it's lazy, cheap and insulting. Should have gone with something that wasn't already in the damn game.
Shepard and Kaidan already do a toast kind of thing TWICE. The meal to get them together is bordering on a toast, but their final scene before hitting cronos is them having a drink before sex. Kaidan comes with the glasses and whiskey. If that is what they put in here for their scene then it is another ripoff with out anything new or different.
Given both of those scenes are already in the game why the hell would I pay $15 to replay them? How lazy can BW be? This is nothing more than pandering if those are the scenes and proves that BW will do anything to make a buck, including rip off and repeat its own previous game content and screw you out of $15. I better see better scenes than that. I'm not paying for RPG stuff that should have bee in the game when it is a ripoff of what is ALREADY in the game.

LIke i said earlier it might work if you have a lead in mission where things just turn into a mess (Think BDTS but worse). This would at least give Anderson a viable reason to basically force Shepard into a vacation.
However I doubt we get that and as such the player will have to come up with a reason why their Shepard is tired enough to take this break.

Anderson is in london, getting his people killed, facing reapers lasers and indoctrination, hiding in a dirty bunker, needing that shepard army ASAP, and he suddenly wants shepard to watch movies, play the piano, and party ?.
This is utterly inconsistent with ME3 story, where my shepard took a couple naps and felt guilty about it. This in ME2 would have been a wonderfull set piece, If this victory party would have been AFTER they get the victory I would be clapping and throwing money at them. Buy they took some fanservice, they got everybody out of charcater, they retconed the reapers apparently, and now we have to fight heath ledger's mistery boss, that probably will get slapped in the face by a shepard that will next proceed to party.
Conspiracy to kill shepard ?, well, I guess they failed, because my shepard is alive in some ruble in london, victim of Biowares inability to finish properly a story we loved for years, and now crumbles in cheesiness and nonsese in the name of fanservice aimed for people that loved the ending.

He doesn't need a specific reason. Shepard is a fight away from losing his mind after Thessia. War takes a toll.

Yeup. I'm sure Anderson has plenty of time to shop for apartments for shep during his downtime. I guess theres a realty broker out there with QEC communications.. or maybe one of his troopers who lived on the citadel just died. Hey.. not like he's going to use it anymore.

It comes up in LotSB as well, so it's canon even if you consider only the games themselves. Pity, since it would have been a lovely moment.

Except he's not waiting for that Shepard army. He's waiting for the Crucible. Shepard can bring as big an army as he wants and he'll still get mauled if the Crucible isn't done.
