Hmm.

Leviathan was about story.
Omega was about action.
Citadel is about interacting with your crew.

Am I right?

Sounds about right to me.

Therefore the DLC is about 2 hours long.
Logical conclusion no less...

It will probably have the standard 3-4 missions that has been in all of the DLC, but whatever remains of the 4 GB will be devoted to the character interaction and the combat arena stuff. I'd say that all of that combined will be more than 2 hours.

You heard it here, folks. Soldiers don't deserve R&R until the war is over.

Looks good, and it does seem like the ME2 squad won't actually be involved in the story segment. Which is fine, just wish I hadn't gotten my hopes up with that first pic and the original info release.

They're giving mixed signals on that. On the one hand, Wrex is the only former squadmate in the last shot. On the other, they've now released multiple promotional pics showing Miranda and Jack preparing for combat, and I think they'd be the two easiest ME2 squadmates to integrate (since Jack's mission is long over and Miranda is potentially available at any point before or after her mission).

If you're talking about pictures outside of the original promo shot that has Miranda and Wrex with the ME3 squad and that horrible mock up that Tully Ackland posted, can you provide a link? Those are the only two I know of, and neither really inspires confidence that they'll actually be a part of the plot of this DLC.

"Bioware sux because they don't listen to its fans"

and now "Bioware sux because it tries to please its fans"

Now THAT is why I roll my eyes.

Mass Effect fans are too disparate a group, it would be impossible for Bioware to please everyone all the time.

I would imagine that this DLC in particular will please a lot of BSN, though.

As long as there is a plot device which gives the Normandy reason to dock the Citadel, other than wanting to play poker, I am a happy man.

And the "say Normandy!" crap needs to be optional.

...you mean the ones that never visited friends and family on leave from the Gulf Wars or the war in Afghanistan?

...you mean like my half Asian friends who's dads were in the US military during the Vietnam war?

...you mean the ones who's grandparents met because their grandpa was taking some R&R in Japan, Italy, France, or wherever the US set up command in Europe?

Yeah...no one kicks back during war.

I'm expecting lots of tears tomorow, got little sentimental already cause of trailer. I have only one complaint: I have pre ordered the new Tomb Raider, how can I play it when I'm doing multiple Citadel play troughs? :D

Anderson is in london, getting his people killed, facing reapers lasers and indoctrination, hiding in a dirty bunker, needing that shepard army ASAP, and he suddenly wants shepard to watch movies, play the piano, and party ?.

This is utterly inconsistent with ME3 story, where my shepard took a couple naps and felt guilty about it. This in ME2 would have been a wonderfull set piece, If this victory would have been AFTER they get the victory I would be clapping and throwing money at them. Buy they took some fanservice, they got everybody out of charcater, they retconed the reapers apparently, and now we have to fight heath ledger's mistery boss.

Conspiracy to kill shepard ?, well, I guess they failed, because my shepard is alive in some ruble in london, victim of Biowares inability to finish properly a story we loved for years, and now crumbles in cheesiness and nonsese in the name of fanservice aimed  for people that loved the ending.

R&R is Important. shepard is the glue holding this army together, Anderson wants the army to be as large as possible, and thus, doesn't wamt shepard the burn out and end up dying because he is too overworked (like cortez, if you tell him to keep up the work)

R&R is important.  I hope this DLC removes the scenes from the game where Shepard goes to sleep and has (sometimes waking) nightmares about the boy from Earth and basically says he'll sleep when he's dead.

That's the inconsistency.  By all means, give me the casino and rest.  But take away the incredibly slow walking in a forest dream sequences that show Shepard on the precipiece of a complete mental breakdown.

This

Yeup.  I'm sure Anderson has plenty of time to shop for apartments for shep during his downtime.  I guess theres a realty broker out there with QEC communications.. or maybe one of his troopers who lived on the citadel just died.  Hey.. not like he's going to use it anymore.

Or the fact that up until the Reaper invasion, Anderson was stationed on the Citadel. Meaning he obviosly lived somewhere on it. And I'm assuming a high ranking military offical could afford a pretty desent place. And as you pointed out, he is stuck on Earth. So why not let Shepard and Co. use it, seeing as how neither one of them is likely to survive past the next few hours? Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we shall die.

I'm sure Shep and crew will have a well deserved, fantastic time.  Just be sure not to turn on the news before popping in Fleet and Flotila.  Don't want to ruin the mood.

I dont mean to be a downer but I am looking forward to the DLC as much as the next person. It looks great I can be perfectly honest and say I had no hope for this DLC I would have downloaded it either way because well come on its Mass effect. but do we really need the war assest that come with it? After a few play throughs I just strikly plaied multi player because of this DLC I went back to SP realized hey I have over 8000 EMS I coudl go to earth and get "the best" ending already... Do you see where I am getting at? Trust me I am excited they for me pulled it out with the new MP DLC and with Citadel as far as i can tell. It was just a thought and I sometimes post to pput my thoughts down so.

While the DLC looks great, will the lancer make an appearance as an available weapon in SP eventually?

Pretty please :-)

The Lancer was all, but confirmed that it'll be in Citadel DLC by the devs, plus it looks like from the trailer we'll also be getting the M-11 Suppressor as well.

There's another on the Citadel page on the BioWare site, as placeholder for the trailer. Shows Miranda, Wrex and Jack alongside the ME3 squad (James, Liara, Garrus, Tali).

You shouldn't compare real life events to science fiction, specially when the Reapers are so much stronger than real life elements.

*BOLDED FOR TRUTH*

I think the "Say Normandy" thing is kinda cute.  Shows a level of camaraderie that people have been asking for.  Hopefully the context will make it a little more palatable. Image IPB

Just want to put it as clear as I can for those who are still curious:

The antagonist clearly says 'fish'. He might love seeing people flopping like fishes on the floor.

I thought that the only fans worth listening to were the ones unsatisified with the ending.
That's what the internet keeps telling me.

You couldn't be taking this more out of context.

Humans vs. humans, where you KNOW the enemy is going to be fatigued and need rest as much as you will, then R&R is certainly an option.

But when you're fighting a giant robotic army that's hellbent on wiping out everything that moves and does not rest, sleep, eat or stop, explain how you can?

They're soldiers on a mission for a reason: to protect and to serve their countries, their worlds and their friends until the very last moment. R&R is just insulting while they know many other people are suffering and dying over the worlds. This party is a big joke and shouldn't even exist unless it happens after the endings, which won't happen.

the only b*tches that flop around on the floor are strippers so that line wouldn't make sense.
