Yeah, this is what I'm hoping for: a strong story and some further lore-expansion, exploration, investigation, mystery...exciting stuff.
Still, I'm not sure what there is to expand on. I'd love to know why the Crucible was originally built (and consequently maybe get an explanation why Destroy targets all synthetics) but is there a reason why the Council would know this/find information about this? Not sure.
It shouldn't necessarily be ending related. It could be something other than that, but something that relates to the big picture: the reaper war. It could also reveal some exciting sub-plot material and new info about the whole saga or lore... hell, it could be about the keepers, the protheans, the council specters, it could be related to Armisten Banes and his mystery, or indoctrination, the dark matter stuff... there's plenty of interesting material out there. ME is full of it.
That's why I'm looking forward to the new ME story. Because Shepard's story and the prothean-reaper saga no matter how grandiose they are leave plenty of space and opportunities in the whole ME universe for new and interesting stories.

Wow, very cheesy. Looks fun though and might be a nice sentimental touch for saying goodbye to Shepard. I actually might buy this one. I just hope they explain why people who are supposed to be desperately working on the Crucible, etc. can break away to help Shepard deal with a conspiracy against him.
Also, stop saying people who question Shepard's R&R don't know how the military or war works. Good grief people. They question it because the game clearly shows Shepard stressing out, having nightmares and refusing to rest.
Which means they should be questioning Shepard's "I'll sleep when I'm dead" stance, if anything.
Regardless, this thread got derailed once already with this.

And you're not ashamed of yourself for still posting here a year later?Hexley UK wrote...
Yawn, blatant cash-in off of fans who cared about these characters that you screwed with your ending Bioware.
If you hate the ending and still buy this turd you should be ashamed of yourself.
Hold the line, hold the wallet, hold your dignity.
It's funny that you bring up dignity when you would only be happy if BioWare completely abandoned theirs. They are proud of their work and you want them to be ashamed of it and to admit it's trash. Each day that they don't is an insult to your very being.
Just move on. Have some dignity.

Yeah that's cool. I'm just saying I didn't see any dangling plot threads like there were for, say, LotSB, Leviathan, and Omega.
I remember after PAX someone asked Weekes why the Reapers didn't just take over the Citadel right away and shut down the relay network. He said something about the Keepers preventing this; either he was spitballing or there was a legitimate plan to incorporate the Keepers later on.

The story just looks worthless. Most likely will not buy. I can't believe this is the final DLC.

Fix the endings like they've been told would be listening, not some half ass cash in on loyal fans feelings with this tripe.

Looking forward to it. Anyone else get that Dark Knight vibe when the mercs first walked in?
I was expecting the leader of the group to say, "you want to know how I got my scars?" and then proceed to push Shepard out the window.
The trailer looks great and gives me hope.

After first making their fans unhappy. (If you weren't unhappy to begin with, you are excluded anyway).
It's not like Bioware woke up one morning and thought, "Man, we've done such a bang-up job and our fans are SO pleased with how awesome Mass Effect was that we're going to spend some time doing this totally gratuitous DLC to make them happier!"
...
Actually, I take that back. Recalling some of Bioware's comments about how their fans were vocal about wanting more explanations and explorations of the endings... maybe the above is what they thought...

If they wanted to make their fans happy they shouldn't have even let ME3 out the door in the state it was in and with the EC they failed because they didn't listen to fans (again) it's still rubbish, morally abhorrent and in some cases even more laughable.
This DLC is a blatant attempt to make money off of those who know ME3 is subpar but still want to spend time with those characters they love that Bioware screwed over with their disgusting ending.
"Here guys have some more fun with those characters you love but f*** you we're still not going to change our ending because it's LOLDERPDEEP and you idiots don't get it.....BUY MOAR DLC!"

The two aren't mutually exclusive.
For example:
Bioware sucks because they don't listen to their fans and haven't fixed the ending.
Bioware also sucks because it's focusing on multiplayer (which some gamers obviously want) and needless Liara fanservice (which Liara fans obviously want) instead of fixing the ending.
Those are two different reasons that Bioware "sucks".
Personally, I think it's good that they're getting around to fixing some of the more lackluster aspects of ME3. Such as the severely crippled romance and crew relations (I saved Ashley on Vrmire and didn't mess around in ME2 so she could sit there and not even have a dialogue wheel?!)
ME3 is never going to be a perfect game. That ship has long since sailed. But the least we can do, and Bioware is helping that cause, is enjoy our imperfect game for however long Bioware is willing to support it.
The $15 pricetag for doing so, on the other hand... <_<

Respectfully, I disagree. I think BioWare did a phenomenal job with ME3, but to each his own, I guess.Hexley UK wrote...
