Dear Bioware,

I would like to deeply express my gratitude for your superb work Mass Effect over the 5 years, The emotional ride has been the best I've ever experienced, Thank you for creating the most beautiful gaming utopia, your creation has gotten me through some pretty dull times and for that alone I would like to thank you greatly. Despite the controversial shortcomings, thank you for not abandoning us as fans and making an attempt to make things right, I thoroughly enjoyed the Mass Effect journey and will remember the heartwarming moments, challenging decisions and exhilarating gameplay for the years to come. The recent citadel dlc has added countless memorable moments and some of the most beautiful musical compositions in gaming. Most importantly Thank you for creating all the characters we've grown to love as family. You guys are geniuses, your writers are talented, your composers are gifted, and your community is amazing.

P.S. Too bad the company you guys work for (Electronics Arts) are a bunch of greedy, selfish, incompetent, senseless imbeciles… Your potential is limitless without them...

Sincerely

This!

Although I know that they made this DLC just to ensure ME4 sales (EA ordered this DLC wth all the writers to stop alienating fans, yes?) we also see that if Bioware left alone (with time and money they need) they can excell in their games.

I have to say I really enjoyed this DLC, though I thought it should have been included in the game instead of a DLC. It felt like Bioware was how they used to be before they became part of EA. It was funny and sad. I feel in love with all of them all over again and wished for more.  Unlike Leviathan and Omega, which really didn't any real purpose, this DLC reconnects you with the people you learned to love while still keeping Shepard human with the thought they still had to fight the reapers.  It still doesn't give us the completion that we want to Shepard's story and despite the facts that Bioware has said that ME4 will not include Shepard I want to beg with them to give us one more Shepard installment...to give us the ending we so desperate want, to give us something that make's our choices matter and that makes sense and not have every choice we ever made be thrown out the window.

So even though this DLC is like a ray of light in the darkness it doesn't fix the damage that had been done to the fans like me who wanted a real ending, to have our choices matter. I still refuse to believe that after everything, that is the ending they will give us. Because it makes the whole ending scene with the stargazers pointless and the whole "shepard lives" ending scene pointless as well. So Bioware please make another Shepard installment!

I'm feeling the same after having done the Citadel DLC. Always loved to have a bad ass Krogan in my team and that's one of the things I missed so much in Me3. Playing with Wrex again in this DLC was uber fun for me.

I do not know how things will be in the future for the Mass Effect universe but I hope EA wont screw more of this. And if there is an ME4, hope it will be as good as ME1-3.

The strangest thing is, I saw a friend back in the days playing ME1 on his xBox 360 and me saying after seeing his Adept pushing a Geth: "Ah, it's a damn Star Wars Jedi clone game!". You guessed it, I played a lot of Kotor at the time hehe. When I heard that Bioware was doing a port to the PC, my friend urged me to buy it and try it.

I did buy it. After a few hours playing I finally got hooked to the story and the gameplay style. I had no choices, I had to play ME games. I don't have all the achievements but I played endless hours. And I did not do that with many games I played in my life so far.

So thank you Bioware for the great ME games. And hope to see more in the future. And very hope that EA wont milk this IP to death with bad sequels if there are some in the works.

Did anyone go back into the main game of Mass Effect 3 and the actual romance scene before the cerberus base got major glitchy?

I could not agree more. I would have rather dished out the 15 dollars for the endings we were promised. Real closure. Questions actually answered and not plot holes the size of the grand canyon. The dlc was fun to play and did remind me of how it use to be with Bioware. I want what was promised. I want a real ending for my Shep. If they leave it like this, why the hell should I care about a ME4 or whatever they want to call it. Why would I want to risk getting invested in a new main character and squadmates if this is how they decide to end the stories? I am not about to shell out any more money or any more time just to be completely let down again. :?

I would, as so many others have, like to extend a heartfelt thank you to BioWare for this last bit of time with Shepard and all the others.  This piece of DLC reminded me of what BioWare is truly capable of with their talented team of writers.  I have chosen to stop my play-through at this point and not go to the ending (again).  Up until the ending, it feels like another amazing BioWare game, you can tell that people really poured their hearts into it, and that they worked as a team to create a masterpiece.

If BioWare can make a promise to its fans that the next installment in the Mass Effect universe will be on this level, or even better, then yes I will indeed purchase the next game.  If however we should expect what happened at the end, then sadly, and I mean that, I will not make that purchase.  I have played Mass Effect more than any game I have ever owned, and even still it holds a special place in my heart as it does for so many others.  I would like to think that not only was this to give us a little more time with Shepard and crew but also an apology for the ending.

BioWare, I have no ill will t'words you and I am not really sure, even still, with what happened to the ending and why it was so out of form.  I look forward to seeing what you can do with the next game and after seeing this DLC have very high hopes for it.  It seems that someone has realized what the fans enjoy and what we have come to expect.

Thank you and hopefully see you on the next adventure,

this dlc with superb, epic, a bit of a fanwank.   i loved it.    but i was also sad; as it seems this the last hurrah for my beloved shepard.

bioware,   lets make it perfect by starting off ME4 with "two hundred and ten years after the destruction of the reapers, engineers stumble on a hidden laboratory under the ancient city of london.    An ancient prothean stasis pod lies within, holding the body of a battle scarred human female..."

I like this idea to startoff ME4 but Sadly it wont happen as BW said there would be no Shepard in ME4
but on the otherhand they have said to keep our Save game  files
but my logic says ME4 will be on Next Gen Consoles so unless they find a way to get the Savegame File from Xbox360/PS3
onto the Next Gen Consoles it would be useless to keep it
unless there  will be something before launch of ME4 on Xbox/Ps3 but that seems highly unlikely as why would they when everyone is playing on Next gen?

This DLC was a nice touch, and definitely showed what Bioware's writers are capable of. However, I do seem to recall some promises from Bioware for a more complete end...which this doesn't really provide. Don't get me wrong, I'm probably one of the few who didn't hate the whole "starchild" ending, and I understand the point of how the game ends (i.e. how much are you willing to sacrifice in order to win); I'd just like a little more closure at the end, mainly for those of us who chose the "red" ending. Just a small 30-second movie (or even a few stills like the extended cut) showing either a funeral or a recovery room in a hospital (depending on if you survived) with some of your team around. If that couldn't happen, then I'd highly suggest building ME4 off of this concept:

I thought the Citadel DLC was near-perfect. The only thing I would have done differently is change or strengthen the "it's because of shoreleave" aspect.

Either
a) Include a scene showing the Normandy as damaged after the clone fight, requiring a "weeks worth of repairs" (be explicit)

or

B) have an option to include this as a post-destruction ending "yay for saving the galaxy" event. (This would have been terribly interesting, but also obviously less practical than the other option).

I encourage BioWare to think about integrating the exploration and downtime elements of their games more seamlessly with the "urgent tone" we saw with Mass Effect. While I had no problem handwaving the "oh, the galaxy is in danger but we're having a party anyway" idea – especially since the "these are stories from the future" ending of the series basically makes room for canon-headcanons – I know that other people had a problem with the idea of taking shore leave when Earth was being devastated.

I'm sure 99% of the people who played this game by now don't give a hoot about the ending.  Its over a year old, get over it.  I'm sure everyone finished the game and saw all the endings.  The DLC was very enjoyable, especially Citadel.  There is no need to change the ending.  If you want a different ending play a different game.  Do you trash a book or a movie if you don't like the ending????  Do you repeatedly ask the director or the authur to redo the ending because you don't like it????

Citadel was a very good DLC, in my opinion. I had finished ME 1 and ME 2, but I hdn't had the chance to play ME 3 until 3 months ago, I bought all the DLC (except for weapons or appearance packs) and played it all in one full playthrough. Leviathan was superb, Omega and From the Ashes were very enjoyable too if you are a completist or need extra War Assets.

For people who had already finished the game, this DLC would be approached in a different way, but if you haven't experienced the last 15% of the game, when you can no longer roam the galaxy due to plot constraints and priorities, the way Shepard reconnects with old buddies or current crewmembers is memorable...

One of the great things about Citadel is that it brings back the interactions between characters and we grew used to in KoTOR, ME 1, ME 2 and Dragon Age... the Normandy in ME 3 was generally quiet in comparison to the long interesting conversations in the previous two installments. There is a genious reference (with direct quotes) to Star Wars: A New Hope and the Cantina when you hang out with Ashley Williams. If you saved Alenko in ME1, i'm sure you can find the scene on youtube. Things like this flesh out the characters in a way few other companes have done in the past.

The humor was great, as it was in the core game, with those taunts about which one is better, the Mako or the Hammerhead...For once, I'd have to side with Vega, I preferred the Mako. It really seemed like the script writers and the voice actors tried to say thanks to the fans with a last contribution before everybody moves on to new projects. No spoilers, but Liara will have something to say about Shepard's tendency to say "I should go" and how he even said it the first time they talked in ME 1... (that would be in Therum)

And I'd recommend not having the party in the apartment until you can invite every single character in the game that has been part of the story of this trilogy (you'd have to wait until right before the "point of no return" in the game).
