Yeah I found that message from Anderson to be kind of illogical, but whatever I guess.
Real illogical, especially since Anderson is watching Earth get whooped by Reapers and people die, he makes sure Shepard is comfortable...yeah???
I still don't understand why Mass Effect 4 couldn't have been simply about Shepard seeking out all his/her companions after the Reaper invasion, while navigating the consequences of the ME3 finale. No matter what options were chosen, they could have reconstituted Shepard much the same way Prophet was in the Crysis series. This would make for an interesting story with multiple flavors and outcomes, while allowing a scenario in which all prior relationships could be addressed for the final time.

This is the most cruel thing BioWare could do to Thanemancers.
Kolyat was in the trailer. There might be something with Thane.

After a year everyone gets some more happy time with their LI and we get THIS. This is just sadistic. How could anyone think that it is a good idea?

No man has ever been under so much pressure. Entire GALAXY looks up to Shepard to make right decisions. He is always in the front lines, decides about fates of entire race's, sees his close-ones die very often. Yeah, I hated the "breakdown" scene after Thessia, but still, he is a human.
Trailer looks good, lots of characters, no Ruuupers atacking, ME2style graphics... could be worth a shot. "Group photo" scene sucks.

To all people saying its "illogicall" for Shepard to go "R&Ring" while Earth is being destroyed, but please...

No man or woman, you mean, of course...
Oh, I also think it's work a shot. But guys with masks touting "weapons of mass destruction" sounds like the perfect thing Shepard would delegate out to someone else to handle while he/she focuses on more important things, like saving the galaxy. But we'll have to see how this sub-story pans out.

You have to take breaks, even during war. Not doing so is a quick and sure-fire way to burn yourself out and then you're no good to anybody.BrysonC wrote...
I guess it's nice that BioWare is giving some LI content and stuff, but...going to be hard to ignore the fact that Anderson is basically giving Shepard a vacation while the Reapers wipe out galactic civilization planet-by-planet.
Considering the survival of the galaxy is resting on Shepard's shoulders, Anderson is damn right to be concerned about whether s/he is getting enough downtime.
Also, a galactic war is actually a pretty slow process - the game takes place over several weeks, I believe. The reapers don't really wipe anything but smaller colonies out during the course of the game. It's people on the fringes who get steamrolled, the more central systems are all hotly contested by the resistance right up until the end. Even on Earth it's only the major population centres that are devastated - Anderson manages to build up a decent resistance force and avoids the reapers well enough by staying out of the cities.

This might be the one piece of ME3 DLC that I pick up. Assuming it doesn't review poorly and seems to warrant the $15 dollar price tag.

Because Thane had a nice, emotional death. Cramming more Thane into this would make no sense and it would be a bad idea. I am already worried about how they could logically bring this many of the scaddered squadies back?

Throughout the single-player campaign they try to instill a certain sense of urgency - Shepard has to perform this task and complete that objective before the Reapers gain any more headway. And we're supposed to believe that while Earth and other cultural hubs are being terrorized, Commander Shepard would be willing to relax on the Citadel?
I dunno, it just stretches the imagination. Shepard's supposed to be a selfless hero, or at least he is if you're a Paragon (I guess it makes sense if you're a Renegade). You'd think he'd grab what moments of peace he could get on the Normandy but keep pressing onward.
