sure people can kill Liara....the moment I get to kill Miranda/Ash/insert other beloved character here
Cut the crap, if you do not like her you can EASILY ignore her AND be a total dick to her, you think you guys have it bad? Look at the jacob/thane mancers
only with low EMS.
I like to kill her with high EMS

The trailer is okay, but I'm disappointed Femshep got little to no screen time here. Last DLC and mission we have with Femshep and Jennifer Hale's voice gets no marketing time? Thanks a lot, Chris.
lol just play femshep not hard...you expect them to make two separate trailers?

I just find it funny that in the trailer, Liara gets one sentence of dialogue & a few unimportant screen time moments and all of a sudden alot of people think the DLC will mostly be based on Liara.
People just can't let their anger over the endings go. It's better to ignore them and hope they move on.

Well, starting from the past. There were always more Liara content then other characters. LOSB she had her very own DLC. ME3 she was with Shepard right in the beginning (mars)...while others had to leave, the most busiest SB in the Universe is out doing missions with shepard.
So in this trailer, I see more Liara focus content then others. She's the only one speaking. While Jack, Ash, Kaiden, Wrex, Grunt, Kolyat, Samara, Zaeed (RIP Robin Sachs) etcc... don't. Just flahses of Screenshots.
Again, not trying to show hatred. But, I'm hoping this DLC is Story & Squad content focus.
I wouldn't want to have Miranda giving less content in story and dialogue in comparison to Liara. Because I didn't pay for liara but hoping Quality content to all Squad Members (including my Fav: Wrex, Zaeed, Grunt & KROGAN)
Ok. Fair points. Certainly in the past Liara has played a large role (LotS for example), but for that reason she is featured a little more prominantly in this trailer. She has been used as a face for the game and is easily recognized by casual ME fans as a character in the series. Not everyone would know who Traynor, Grunt or even Wrex woudl be, yes hardcore fans absolutely, but casual fans, less so.
For speaking, actually Joker gets more lines. Edi also speaks as does Kaidan. It is pretty much impossible to show a small bit of all the characters all speaking and still call it a trailer. Plus, some of what would be said would spoil what they are talking about, so can't really be shown.
I'm not dismissing your worry, I was genuinely curious about what you saw so we can do better for future trailers. You'll have to wait and play it or wait for someone else to play it and see what they say about "X" characters involvement in the game.
Why are you even trying to appeal to them?

I was able to have her die in 3 separate parts of the suicide mission. She's still dead with high EMS in ME3.
T'Soni is still alive with high EMS.

No. But I was hoping Bioware would show Jennifer Hale's voice some love since this is her last voice over in Mass Effect.

Friendly dialogue with squaddies is great, i hope so. Did you really write gambling and combat arena!? Now that is exciting! The gambling part has piqued my interest! Thanks Crono!CronoDragoon wrote...
The romance stuff is after the Citadel "story" which involves a conspiracy to kill Shepard from an unknown group on the Citadel. And if you don't have a romance you can still (in all probability) have friendly dialogue with your squad without needing an LI. Plus, gambling and a combat arena.

After you recruit other squadmates you don't have to use them and then you can let them die in the suicide mission.
Everyone can die with high EMS except T'Soni and James. Putting aside James, what makes T'Soni more important then the other characters that she can't die with high EMS?
Why are you putting James aside? Seems a little biased. What makes him more important than other characters that he can't die with high EMS?
Why can't James and T'Soni die with high EMS? What makes them more important then the other characters?
Is this worded better for you?
Why should there be a chance for them to die?
I can see how that appears like an attempt to circumvent the question, but I'm serious. What would their deaths add to the story and game? How would it be implemented? What would players who don't have a larger roster of previous friends and allies to call on do considering Liara is the token biotic and James the replacement Krogan?
And I'm looking for a reason that isn't 'because everyone else can', or 'I don't like this character', because the former is just meaningless, it's not some series standard or requirment and it addresses none of the above points, and the latter is simply subjective.

Is this DLC going to have a story, or is it only going to be for those who want to further/conclude their romances with certain characters?
Both really.
Also, they've brought back many of the writers. So this DLC is going to be one final Kick**** DLC for ME fans

He has a point, casual fans are still fans. After all, there are those poor people who only started the series at ME3, unaware of the awesomeness that was ME2 characters. Liara plays a big role, and is known by the majority of fans. Since they want everyone to be interested in the DLC, it makes sense they would give well known characters the lines, while the fans get more in-jokes with the screnes (Fleet and Flotilla with Tali? Dancing lessons with Garrus? Tattoos with Jack? Brilliant!)

You are contradicting yourself or you don't want to kil lLiara, you just want to see her die(for some reason) in which case, why use examples of Shepard killing a character themselve.

Since you have to have at least two squadmates for the beam run and one of them has to be the robot(if you choose green)., you can have Tali,Garrus, Javik(if recruited) and Ashly/Kaidan.The Night Mammoth wrote...

Now I know you can do a palythrough with only T'Soni, robot and James.
What would their deaths add to the story. Sacrifice that shepard has to go through to end the war just like he/she did with other character deaths..
T'Soni's death can be done on Thessia where shepard has to choose between saving T'Soni or getting the data and letting Kai Leng get away.
You still track Cerberus to Horizon and then to Chronos to remove them so you can concentrate on the reapers.
Hackett informs you that the VI from Thessia tells you the catalyst is the Citadel.
For James, just have him die on Earth when you fight through the reaper forces to takedown the Hades cannon. He dies just as he is about to board the shuttle.
For the playthrough where you have robot,James and T'Soni only, you can haveT'Soni die on Thessia and James will live automatically or save T'Soni and James dies on Earth..
For both to be killed you need to have at least one other squadmate available whoever it might be.
