Buff The Shadow

I suggest we buff the Shadow. A most underused and underpowered kit.

- Increase base Health/Shields to 500/750 (same as Paladin).
It makes no sense fo the Shadow, a melee class, to have less Health/Shields than the Paladin (who has a Shield and Energy Drain) and the Demolisher (who can stun anything that shoots at any time with Arc Grenades).

- Extra bonus to Shield Regeneration in Fitness.
Same as Geth Fitness or better. The Shadow needs this because unlike the AIU or the Salarian, she has no way to recover Shields during Cloak apart from Shadow Strike (which is very slow and circumstantial), and then only if you sacrifice a big chunk of damage in Shadow Strike.

- Increase movement speed to the same level as an AIU with full speed boost from Repair Matrix, or above.
The Shadow has less Weapon Damage modifiers than the Drell or the AIU, and unlike them is a melee focused class. So instead of also being slower than either of them, the Shadow should have the fastest movement speed in the game.

- Give Shadow light and heavy melee Damage Resistance.
Especially now with the Batarian Gauntlet gear, and the Krolord. Shadow's melee is just too much risk for too little gain. Give it a 50% to 75% Damage Resistance and it will be more fair for the Shadow.

- Shadow Cloak Rank 6 give Multiplicative Melee Damage Bonus.
A completely logical choice after TGI, Huntress, and AIU's custom Cloaks. Shadow with Sniper Damage boost makes no sense, as she will never be as good a Sniper as the other Infiltrators.

- If possible, increase the animation speed of Shadow Strike and Electric Slash.
These powers are just too slow in their animation, especially Shadow Strike. Their speed need to be increased drastically (by like 100%) for them to be worth the trouble - otherwise it's better to just shoot.

I agree completely.

While we're at it, can we have the Phantom's hand-blaster thing as a weapon? It could give whoever is using it the same movement animations as the Phantom.

Makes sense? Okay, if you want to argue from that standpoint, I'd say the Shadow is built to not be a brawler like the Paladin, or an Engineer who blows up all the things, but a sneaky, stab you in the back type. She doesn't fight face to face, and as such does not need the shields of someone who does.

This I agree with.

Again, you're comparing seriously tanky characters to a seriously not tanky character.

Makes sense, but this is the punishment for coming after the TGI, Huntress, and AIU. Probably wouldn't work without a patch.

Electric Slash clashes so hard with the Shadow's powers that I'm surprised you even included it in things to buff. Shadow Strike works fine, as long as you cloak first. When I use my Shadow, I hardly ever shoot. I can think of only a few situations in which I wouldn't immediately go for a double Shadow Strike.

While I will probably always choose Bonus Power, this one change I'd like simply because Sniper bonuses on her make zero sense. Hell, she should've had shotgun bonus like the AIU.

Air quotes has been requesting buffs for the shadow for months. I am surprised people posting don't appear to appreciate the weaknesses of this kit when playing anything other than Cerberus.

This is like the third time I've seen the Shadow described as being terrible, because the AIU exists.  Apparently people do not know how to Shadow, and need to learn.

Given how fast she moves during Shadow Strike, and how much Melee damage she deals, I say she should be the fittest character in MP.

If MP characters hold a triathlon contest, the Shadow would win it, no doubt.

Because they get wrecked while playing something like Geth. And then stop playing it. Because it's a chore and the payoff is low for all the risk and slow-ass animations.
