The only one I believe they could change in a weekly balance change is the increase in health/shields from Sword Mastery.

Percentage or base value?

Since Shield Mastery also gives Speed boost, I think that can be changed too.

Air quotes has been requesting buffs for the shadow for months. I am surprised people posting don't appear to appreciate the weaknesses of this kit when playing anything other than Cerberus.

Because they get wrecked while playing something like Geth. And then stop playing it. Because it's a chore and the payoff is low for all the risk and slow-ass animations.

but apparently how dare you ask for a buff to her based on the replies in this thread.

Didn't you know you're supposed to ignore her melee abilities and spam TC + Guns like every other Infiltrator?

What?  It's awesome against Reapers, as it's one of the only melee builds you can consistently use against Brutes/Banshees.  Just strike them when they are in charge/teleport mode.  You will safely SS them, and they will be out of range of sync-kills.  Just don't SS Ravagers unless their sacs are popped and the Swarmers have departed.  Death awaits.

I've done quite well against Clocktors with it too.

I've not run Gold/Geth with her much, tbh.  So can't comment on her strengths there.  Can she SS a bomber?  Not sure that I've ever even tried.

The Shadow doesn't need a buff. She needs a fix.

Yeah. She's after all only almost godlike, not quite. Better bring her up to speed..

Of all the things I knew the AIU would bring out in BSN, this I didn't foresee.

No. But I'm not sure you're serious?

This is like the third time I've seen the Shadow described as being terrible, because the AIU exists.  Apparently people do not know how to Shadow, and need to learn.

This.

Seems like people are too dependent on just her melee, and not her ability to quickly close gaps with powerful close range weapons.

Oh well, she doesn't need a buff. She'd then be overpowered, and risk getting something else nerfed.

They could change the values for anything within the Sword Mastery tree, though they couldn't add anything not already in there or change her base health/shields around.

They could increase the speed boost of speccing into it in Sword Mastery.

I'll never understand why Bioware made a character that is supposed to be so fast, and then gave that character really slow melee attacks and a super-slow poer (electric slash) to go along with it.

Still, if it just had some base DR or invincibility frames during shadow strike and could SS an atlas, I might play it more on platinum.

She needs faster CC. And enemies need to react slower in CQC. No more fkn instant elbows with 360* range and 3 meter AOE. No more Atlas ass-rocket tracking. That crap is retarded.

At least these are valid concerns. But the Shadow is more or less the only Infiltrator I play and I can honestly say that I've only experienced such issues if I've had a very bad host. I'm on Xbox though, maybe these things occur more often on PC for all I know.

The damage is still garbage. Even with all the omni-bades and melee gear. And you still get smacked in SS or shot down.

The enemies have godly hearing and reactions. And intstant teleport, while you watch the animation doesn't help. AT ALL.

Maybe. But play with 60 FPS+ on a PC and enemies know were you are at all time and react in pico-seconds. Cloak or no cloak, behind a wall or no wall.

She doesn't hold a candle VS something like GI, TGI or AIU. And they can melee better too.

As you can see, without using an omni-blade and skipping one of the melee passives this class can still take out any mook in one hit (not sure about pyros/phantoms because I rarely use her) You also have a claymore and damage cloak which will destroy bosses.

I fail to see how this class requires a buff.

I can take out any mook in 1 shot from range. Without having to look at extended animations and slow sword swings. And wihout a risk of getting surrounded or staggered by ass rockets out of nowhere.

But if you don't play Shadow around SS and Melee - better not play Shadow at all. That's the point.

yes she can.

One of the biggest issues with the shadow is she has a large learning curve. Most players will go with a standard SS, duration/bonus power build, but i think they are gimping her as she is much more effective going with Damage bonus.

Coming from a viewpoint that the standard SS build is the only way to go (for many it is), it leads to the assumption that she is only good against cerberus... which is an assumption that leads to poorer performance as you limit yourself to that faction.

She can handle any faction, very well, especially geth/collectors (love chopping abomination heads!!)

Claymore.

Also, I would imagine that most of the people that are asking for buffs are wanting to play with more of a SS oriented build and play style and not carrying a super-heavy shotgun around.

The Shadow can be specced to be the fastest kit in the game, why does she need to be even faster?

Only coming out of SS for a few seconds. While Drell, Fury and AIU can pretty much go for the duration of the game. + deal much more damage.

Also you need melee damage so most will forgo that speed in favor of Martial Artist.

The point is the melee is powerful enough without using omni blades and because tactical cloak allows you to virtually carry any weapon at no penalty you can bring a boss-killer like a claymore.
This is a SS build if you want it to be, don't even have to shoot claymore unless there is a boss.

Depends on what you want to do with your Shadow, I guess. I use her to kill phantoms/ hunters/ pyros/ captains/ marauders, allowing my teammates to focus on boss enemies. With the new power magnifier and a melee stunner equipped, all those units can be one shotted by SS without any equipment when taking bonus power. Paired with a low cooldown you can make sure your teammates never have to worry about phantoms.

On platinum damage is probably the way to go though.
