Buff The Shadow

I don't know... This character is simply badly made. Not over/under powered, just badly made. She sould at least be better at melee than... I don't know... QFI ? But noooooo. Everybody knows that quarians have elite ninjas in their flotilla. That's concistent with the whole "I need a hermetic suit to protect me from pathogens" thing, of course.

One of the biggest issues with the shadow is she has a large learning curve. Most players will go with a standard SS, duration/bonus power build, but i think they are gimping her as she is much more effective going with Damage bonus.
Depends on what you want to do with your Shadow, I guess. I use her to kill phantoms/ hunters/ pyros/ captains/ marauders, allowing my teammates to focus on boss enemies. With the new power magnifier and a melee stunner equipped, all those units can be one shotted by SS without any equipment when taking bonus power. Paired with a low cooldown you can make sure your teammates never have to worry about phantoms.
On platinum damage is probably the way to go though.
ah, well before without the power magnifier, i don't think duration/bonus power SSers could take out a pyro in one hit.. maybe now they can.
I might switch to a talon on her just to try it out... but... probably not.. the wraith weight bug is too nice

As you can see, without using an omni-blade and skipping one of the melee passives this class can still take out any mook in one hit (not sure about pyros/phantoms because I rarely use her) You also have a claymore and damage cloak which will destroy bosses.
I fail to see how this class requires a buff.
This build is capable of doing what you said on Bronze and barely on Silver.
Claymore on Shadow? No Omni-Blade? SIX seconds cooldown on Shadow Strike? No Bonus Power? Both defence evos on SS? No Martial Artist?
Whats that, a bad trip?

She's power creeped and needs to be bought up back to speed.iOnlySignIn wrote...
Instead of nerfing the AIU, I suggest we buff the Shadow. A most underused and underpowered kit that has a similar play style.
- Increase base Health/Shields to 500/750 (same as Paladin).
It makes no sense fo the Shadow, a melee class, to have less Health/Shields than the Paladin (who has a Shield and Energy Drain) and the Demolisher (who can stun anything that shoots at any time with Arc Grenades).
- Extra bonus to Shield Regeneration in Fitness.
Same as Geth Fitness or better. The Shadow needs this because unlike the AIU or the Salarian, she has no way to recover Shields during Cloak apart from Shadow Strike (which is very slow and circumstantial), and then only if you sacrifice a big chunk of damage in Shadow Strike.
- Increase movement speed to the same level as an AIU with full speed boost from Repair Matrix, or above.
The Shadow has less Weapon Damage modifiers than the Drell or the AIU, and unlike them is a melee focused class. So instead of also being slower than either of them, the Shadow should have the fastest movement speed in the game.
- Give Shadow light and heavy melee Damage Resistance.
Especially now with the Batarian Gauntlet gear, and the Krolord. Shadow's melee is just too much risk for too little gain. Give it a 50% to 75% Damage Resistance and it will be more fair for the Shadow.
- Shadow Cloak Rank 6 give Multiplicative Melee Damage Bonus.
A completely logical choice after TGI, Huntress, and AIU's custom Cloaks. Shadow with Sniper Damage boost makes no sense, as she will never be as good a Sniper as the other Infiltrators.
- If possible, increase the animation speed of Shadow Strike and Electric Slash.
These powers are just too slow in their animation, especially Shadow Strike. Their speed need to be increased drastically (by like 100%) for them to be worth the trouble - otherwise it's better to just shoot.
And I find it rare I actually agree with everything you suggested.
It wouldn't make her OP but only making more sense on how a melee oriented inflitrator should be played.

Not if you play intelligently? It's basically the build I have. In fact, I think I throw away all of the defensive evos for pure damage.

Also, I would imagine that most of the people that are asking for buffs are wanting to play with more of a SS oriented build and play style and not carrying a super-heavy shotgun around.
I run an SS build carrying a light shotgun, and have never experienced most of the complaints that others have about her.

It's a 3 shot bomber build that cycles 2 claymore shots with cloak's bonus and a SS.
The 2 shots from the claymore far out-damages SS. Hence using the barrel mod instead of omni-blades on the claymore.
I use a variation of this build back when that DLC came out last year. With adrenaline mod. And it one hit kill everything you mentioned above in gold except scions.
Youre a noob.

I agree. That's why I don't play her much at all. Claymoar when possible, SS for certain units and for getting around the battlefield, and you can chain a melee onto the end of an SS for basically all shadow-strikeable units. Brutes should not be SSed, you will get damage returned and cannot guarantee your final placement won't be under his claw when he falls, just claymoar him.
However, I do still take omniblade. I have a habit of just meleeing. Sometimes I swear it does more damage than an SS.

2. There are many situation when you're using your cloak for other purposes than shooting/use power. In that case you're basically naked for 6 seconds after cloak wears out, especially because you have short clock. I'm sure you know that your cooldown in that case is depending on how long you was in cloak.
3. Why you ever need bonus speed when you could zip through entire battlefield (and do it cloaked when you have Duration and Bonus power)? Especially at the price of loosing +50% additive bonus damage.
4. I'm sorry, what?! Bonus power purpose is to let your escape safely from your target's enraged friends, by foot or by another SS (not with 6 sec. cooldown, of course). Besides, if you do it right, you do not ever need to shoot your gun at all.
