I don't see the reason for all the other buff tbh. I could agree on a movement speed buff; she does need to be mobile to be really effective. The damage reduction on light melee....I dunno. I'm not warming up to that.

What about engineers with the turret still on the back? What about a Turret? What about a Geth Prime? What about a burning Pyro? It's a frustrating ability when you kill something and are immediately killed.

Well... i can take out a turret ( i believe) and a pyro in a single SS...
but in all honesty, why are you SSing things you shouldn't be charging anyway?
If you SS a turret and it kills you, its your fault...

Keep hitting it until it dies? It's pretty hard to get killed with this build as long as you can stick and move with your 2x Electric Slashes. The second power can be used on Shadow Strike if you need to heal yourself or make a quick exit.
Plus I mostly use this kit when I have at least one teammate with Flamer / Incinerate / Inferno grenadeas

I don't know if this works with a laggy host (I've always done it on host or with a good host), but you're totally fine SSing a Banshee and Brute as long as they are moving. The speed of the animation plays out in your favor, as they are past sync-kill range by the time you actually make your strike, but the strike still hits them.
Just play bullfighter with Brutes. Shoot them, antognize them, as soon as their charge starts, cloak and strike.
There was an early point in here about how her Rank 6 shouldn't be SRs. While there could have been some interesting options for it, the fact is she's really the only Infil that can heavily capitalize on Bonus Power, thus making one of the least used evolutions in the game have value.
I'm usually host. I'll remember that advice about when they're moving.
There's two kits where I use the bonus power evo all the time - Shadow, and AIU. (The Huntress right now, too, who I'm still experimenting with.) I love my Melee AIU Specialist, but I need an extra second to line up that Heavy Melee because of bad tracking, so I love shooting Snap Freeze, and then running up and smacking the targets with an uppercut. It's fast enough that I can usually get two full damage bonuses, and kill two guys per TC-Snap Freeze-HM cycle, which refreshes in about 2.5 seconds. It's not the most practical way to play the AIU, but MAN is it fun!

I was a bit nervous about it, but she was my best kit, and I was advised that made her the best choice. I agreed. So far, I've only played about a dozen Platinum matches. The Speed Runs were all with a Drell Assassin, but all my normal Platinum games were with the Shadow. My comfort counted for more than DPS (which will change as I become more used to Platinum, and can try other kits.)
But her powers all work essentially as well on Platinum. I think perhaps the synergy/timing of them is tricky to learn on any difficulty, buy once you have a handle on it, she doesn't perform much differently in Platinum than she does in Gold. You'll need more of your boss-killing strategies. For me, that is basically just falling back on my ULM Hurricane crutch. It will kill a boss, if that's what you need done, even without weapon passives. Which makes my Stealth Medic build viable on all difficulties.
I've never topped a scoreboard with her in Platinum, but I've been second on the scoreboard in pretty much every game I've played. I think if you're a strong, comfortable Shadow player, she's one of the best kits for making the transition to Platinum.

As you can see, without using an omni-blade and skipping one of the melee passives this class can still take out any mook in one hit (not sure about pyros/phantoms because I rarely use her) You also have a claymore and damage cloak which will destroy bosses.
I fail to see how this class requires a buff.
Not if you play intelligently? It's basically the build I have. In fact, I think I throw away all of the defensive evos for pure damage.
Worth noting that I have never witnessed you using the Shadow, reasonable to assume that you rarely to never use the character.
The point of this thread is that this infiltrator fails at her specialization, which is SS and melee. If you are relying on a Claymoar for damage, then the character is not doing its job.
I can see the point of the posters here, this character is best played as a Claymore Shotgun Infiltrator. It is worth noting that a RC'd shotgun can make even the Turian Saboteur a good character (I could make that work, and I am far from a good shot.
While she is best played as a shotgun infiltrator, the others do this job better than she does with lower risk given their difference in playstyle. She suffers some of the same plagues as the Pheonixes, a dedicated CQC classthat is just a bit short on power and very short on survivability to back up that specialization.
I'll have to discuss the GI with you later, as it is a great example of a character that gives an awesome reward for skill while not beng very noob friendly, a class with a greater reward for skill while having a good requirement for it to be effective. "balanced around skill" if you will.

When she first came out (with the bugged fire sword not working), she was killing most things in one hit, or one hit plus melee follow up. Brutes? Let them charge at you and then SS, Banshee's SS while they're teleporting. Geth were always pretty easy for me.
Seriously am I missing something? I mean, I know she's not really platinum material, but I always topped with her in gold and didn't die too often.
Edit: I mean, with the flame sword fixed now, the new heavy omni blade, surely she OHKO's stuff like Pyro's now, unless they took away how SS got buffs from power damage.

As a CQC meleeing class she should have some powers looked over and again what the OP suggested,
- Better mobility and survivability comparing to other kits as a CQC meleeing kit. That only makes sense for a CQC meleeing kit to have. Having her base mobility speed at 15% or 20% sounds right and will allow some good players to play her as the way it should - A high risk, high reward CQC expert.
- Rank 6 evo should be melee bonus or extra power. Which actually gives reasons to choose one over another and for aggressive CQC players like some of us to take the melee bonus so similiar to what mentioned above she can do the things she's supposed to do better.
Instead they gave a CQC melee class a sniper rifle bonus. Seriously bioware? She needs to be bought back up to speed.
- Fix the wonky SS. And not have the ravangers shooting at you dead while teleporting. Or the sword jamming on an atlas.
