$15 is cheaper than actually taking Tali to the real movies to see 'Fleet and Flotilla.' Never mind taking Joker out for Drinks or any of the other things I see in the video.

So its totally worth it. Posted Image

It'll be on sale sooner or later.

If not, I can live without it.

No I won't be buying it, For two reasons.

1:- Price is too high. 15 USD is just 5 USD short of Dawnguard and Dragonborn. I'm sorry but if a 20 USD DLC from another developer gives you about and over 60 hours of gameplay, completely new places to explore, brand new items and the free mods that come with it, I expect a lot from a 15USD DLC. The last Bioware DLC to come out with a 15USD price tag is Omega. Price wise, it was not worth it. Mark of The Assassin was cheaper but had more content, Dragon Age Origins Awakening was twice the price and Omega was way less than half of what Awakening is.

2:- What EA did to my ME3. I spent about 80USD on ME3 (Bought the Collector's Edition). I even spent money on the idiotic RNG store in ME3 MP once a while. I bought all the DLCs for SP. & yet for all the support I gave, I magically lost my online pass 3 weeks ago. I was unable to play the game. After a whole day and 2 cellphones (bad customer service leaving people off for up to 30 minutes draining my cellphone battery), I still cannot play From Ashes DLC. Somehow that is not being authorized. For the next 3 weeks, I have been trying again and again to call EA to solve this problem but my calls get dropped mid way or the so-called "EA Experts" kept pushing me from one moron to another. What the **** ? If this is how Bioware & EA treat their customers, screwing them over for content they bought legitimately with their miniscule college allowance, I am done with buying anything from them legitimately. I will be only getting the Torrent Edition of future EA games because of the way they treat legitimate customers.

No. I am saving my cash for Bioshock Infinite.  & for other non EA games worth buying

15 is not too much for me. I'll buy this DLC, no doubt about it.

Hm, based on what I've seen so far it looks like it'd definitely be worth that much... if ME3 had given me enough reason to finish the trilogy playthroughs with all my different Shepards. Right now I will likely only play it once or twice, and will probably still have a better cost/entertainment time ratio than by buying a ticket for a 3D movie.

Anyways, I will spend the BW points I have left for Citadel DLC, and after that it's the start of a new game for Bioware to win me over with their coming titles.

From the content I've read combined with the satisfaction of owning every piece of ME3 content, it'll be worth $15 to me.

IMO the strength of the trilogy lies in its characters. An emotionally powerful, character-centric sendoff for $15 seems much more worthwhile for the money than, say, Omega was.

Don't know. Guess that depends on how much every individual feels it's worth for him/herself.

Personally I'm very interested in this DLC but because my video game budget is a little bit lacking atm, I'm probably going to pick it up some other time.

Oh, and we should probably not forget that every MP expansion (and the EC) was completely free of charge and it was certaintly not cheap to produce. Just putting this up against the argument of "greedy Bioware/EA". Granted, a lot of people probably don't care about MP but the point still stands.

Anyway, I'm interested in the opinions regarding the DLC tomorrow :)

This one understands.

But that may be the biggest blow to fans, who might get let down by the content, if it doesn't meet their unrealisitc needs.

Not easy at all given you just broadcast on public forum your intention to decieve him or her. If was a salesman you would not be very good at it. Either way does not matter what he or she wants to spend their money on. If she or he is excited for it and wants to buy to leave him or her alone. It's his or her money that is spending on what thinks might enjoy.

Omega was overpriced.

I'm hoping this one isn't.

Mostly I'm hoping that the "sitting watching a movie" wasn't an exclusive Tali scene, and I get the option to sit and watch a movie with anybody.

A Blasto movie.

Yes, I would pay $15 for a DLC that lets me return to a hub at any time to chill on a sofa with a squadmate, watching a Blasto movie.

While we try to make the content good value for the price charged, if it is too expensive for you (you have other things to buy, you don't see the value in it, your rent is due, etc) then don't buy it. We think Citadel is good fun and worth the money. You will see around here tomorrow once it is out what the majority of people think.

If you are unsure if you want to spend that money on a DLC, wait and see what people think of it and then make up your mind. If you do not think it is worth it, spend your money on something you think you'll enjoy more. :)

you said the same about Omega.

Is there anything else to actually say about it?!?!?!

Seriously, that's how capitalism and trading works. Someone (EA/Bioware in this case) makes an offer (Get Citadel DLC for $15) and you can either say "yes" or "no" to it. If you say "no", there is always a chance they will make a new offer, but they also might not. In fact, if demand shot through the roof, they might start asking more for it (realizing that the good or service they are providing is worth more than they thought).

If you think that the DLC will give you enough enjoyment to pay $15, that's what you should do, if not, you shouldn't.

I think I will be $15 poorer and happier tomorrow. :)

1,200 probably is too much. I don't feel so bad about it for Citadel, but it was clearly not a reasonable price for the last DLC (and it exposes Chris' complete lack of credibility here, since he said the same thing about Omega as he's now trying to say about this one).

What's a "reasonable price?"

I can understand a price that AlanC9 wouldn't care to pay, or devSin wouldn't care to pay, but what does the abstract version of this actually mean?

Lol no offense to Chris, but I think its just EA at work here.

Yeah, because BioWare made everything for free before we were bought by EA right? And costs of development have remained stagnant since, oh, 2008?

As I said, some people will nto want this DLC or will not want to pay $15 for it. That is fine. YOU determine that value for YOU. If I say it is worth it and tha majority other people here (which is the minority, thanks for pointing that out) say it is worth it (or not) what matters is what matters to YOU.

To be honest, I think the cost of development has gone up well beyond the cost of the game. We've maybe seen a 20% increase or so in the base game itself since the NES era where games commonly were priced from $40-$55 bucks in many cases. Today we pay between $50-$70 for base depending on platform. And when you look at just how staggeringly different both the tech, art, dev teams, addition of voice actors, cinematics, and any number of other things is in comparison to that era, the price difference alone will melt your brain. So while I hate (maybe despise is the right word) some DLC practices (not specifically BioWare here), I understand it is necessary to help pay for the cost of, and of, further development. I expect prices will go up for both developer and consumer more with the next gen coming out soon.

My feelings on DLC are pretty much this - As long as it doesn't feel like it was carved right out of the base game and slapped with a DLC tag (on-disk DLC (bit of an oxymoron there)  for example, Capcom) I'm generally fine with it and will usually buy it if I like the game or maybe even just want to support the dev. I'm not opposed to DLC mind you, just certain practices that tend to feel insulting rather than honest. In cases like the prior, I would rather the price tag just be increased and be done with it but now I'm veering off topic so I digress.

I would buy an expansion for a game I like in a heartbeat and DLC isn't really all that different. If there was a ME3 expansion coming out post-ending, heck yeah, all mine. In any case, I look forward to the final phase of Shep's journey tomorrow. Hopefully the future of the ME universe is a bright one with less Asimov.

is it worth $15?

do you have $15 dollars? (yes or no)

Do you want this dlc? (yes or no)

if you answer yes-yes, then yes its worth it.
If you answered yes-no, then no its not worth it.
if you answered no to the first question, the second one is pointless.

Just because you want something and can afford it doesn't mean you should buy it.  The only real question is do you think the product is worth the price being asked for it.  If not, you don't get it whether you can afford it or not.

Now since I bought Omega at the same price, I don't see this DLC not  at least having the same value.  But like anything else associated with ME3 and its DLC, it won't be a day one buy.

Agree with basically all of this. Video games with lengths like ME3 and longer are a steal. Especially if you are patient and can buy it for $20.
