Wait , what? 15$ for Citadel DLC?

I ask this as I genuinely don't know, but is it normal on XBL and PSN to have 4Gb's worth of new content for less than $15?

Perhaps I don't spend enough time on the internet to find the humor in this.

It's four gigabytes big - the biggest DLC they've ever released. If you
don't want to buy it, or are not interested in the DLC, then no one is
forcing you to go out and buy it. But being as it Is the LAST piece of
Mass Effect DLC, you should have faith that bioware will go all out for
it. They won't try and screw you over.
Whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait a minute. Didn't BioWare screw over fans with the original ME3 ending? I haven't played it yet and I won't
judge (yet), but that's ALL I heard about when the game was released. I
can see why people are skeptical especially if Omega wasn't that good
(I believe that was the 2nd largest released DLC).

What are you talking about dear? Previous DLC was Reckoning and it was 198 Megabytes.
Also , since you want to go there , yes , if 50 hours of voice acting cost 18-20$ , then why would 4-6hours cost 15$?
This is... just...
Please don't apply such a blind flailing logic to things like that, and talk down to other people in the same sentence.
Let me try to explain:
Every VA has his own pricing on his/her work, much like say, hairdressers for that matter. It depends of course on the actor himself (his/her reach, i.e. "popularity"), his/her agency, the amount of lines to be spoken, and in what timely manner those lines are spoken, e.g. how many sessions are required: In general, more than four hours of recording is considered too exhausting, and will even slightly alter the voice - something that can be heard, or at least subliminally perceived by most people.
It's still correct that more talk equals more pay, but "if this much costs that much, than that much proportionally costs this much" doesn't work here.
For something with fewer different settings than the main game, like this DLC, naturally there aren't nearly as many sessions required. Why the small gap between prices then?
I never worked for any publishing company, but I'd wager the original game is rather cheap now, because it already sold at full price.
If anything you need to compare it to the original price, but then again, the above explanation would also apply to it; rendering it impossible to break it down as simplified again. I am not judging neither of them, nor do I know it for certain, but I bet for example Martin Sheen & Yvonne Strahovski (in ME3) opposed to Mark Meer & Ash Sroka differ greatly when it comes to pay. Then compare it to the amout of lines. It just doesn't work that way.

People were unhappy with it, and then Bioware released a free extended cut version of it. I don't know how bad it was because I got the game really late(walmart shipped my collectors edition very late and then I got into multiplayer). But they fixed it enough that when I experienced the ending for the first time I wasn't super disappointed.

$15 is a decent prize for a well made DLC with lots of content. Making extra content costs money and I gladly pay for good quality.
EDIT; I've also sank 170+hrs in the MP and all the dlc-content for that I have gotten for free. I've gotten an insane amount of worth for my money with ME3.
How do you know its well made omega wasnt well made
I have bought every bigger DLC-release and I have not been disappointed once. Yes, I liked Omega aswell and thought it was well made.

Do you complain about the cost of a movie? That can cost over $10 per person to see. You can only see the movie once.AlexMBrennan wrote...
That's not the point - the complaint is that Bioware is charging much more per hour of entertainment from DLC compared to the base game. You being made of money doesn't change that
Paying $15 for a DLC that I know I will play more than once,
If I broke down how many hours I have played all three ME games, my price per hour is pennies on the dollar. DLC included for all three games and I've paid full price for the DLC, many times it goes on sale.

If $15 is too much for your budget, then don't get it. It's that simple.
The simple fact this DLC is over 2gig in size, I only seen part 1 of 2, so I don't know how big part 2 is. If this DLC gives people more time with their LI then most will agree it's worth it. Because that is what the fans wanted.

Maybe this dlc will be good, but the track record of the way things have been going is a sign of the quality we can expect

with this kind of logic everything would be totally overpriced, because you can get good (old) games with 100hours+ gameplay for just 1 buck.

Nobody forces you to buy the DLC in the first place, just ignore it and move on if you don't agree with it. Besides, if the money we spend on Mass Effect extras (overpriced or not) ensures the franchise continues then I am perfectly OK with that.

Everyone read your post , it's just so stupid that nobody cares.
That reply of mine was about how anctious i am for the DLC that is all , and also mentions me saying and i quote :
" Then again , the DLC is not out yet , i am waiting minute by minute for it to come out on Origin so i can buy it it's 23:41 and i can't wait for 00:00 and further on but we will see if this DLC delivers as promised or not after we download it and play it. So far it's all words."
Furthermore it explains how much of a fan i am , that i buy everything related to mass effect without first consulting any reviews.
So you must be damn right stupid or got something wrong in your brains if you keep pushing the subject.

15 bucks is really not that bad considering the developers have to work to make this DLC. If people think it is overpriced using that old game logic, they can always wait a year or 2 for them to release some sort of complete edition for 20 bucks, and there you go. There are certain companies in Japan would charge you 15 for stupid things like costumes lol.
Theres also companies in Japan that charge reasonable prices for 12-17 hrs worth of content...
You're acting like Bioware is the only company that works to make a product - So they charge for it. Its overpriced because DLC sales are down.

Considering that all multiplayer content has been free, I'm not complaining
Many people never once played multiplayed and they still won't , multiplayer is no excuse for singleplayer dlc.
Simply because they are patching multiplayer to keep the game alive and no other reason.
And the proof to that is that most of what you get in multiplayer has nothing to do with singleplayer. At the end of the day ME3 multiplayer is just another shooter. How much can you do about a shooter? Take Borderlands for example , it has 1000000000 weapons , but who cares it's just a shooter. The multiplayer content is free and a LOT of people all ready stated they wouldn't have paid for any MP content anyway even if they charged for it.
I played Mass Effect trilogy for years , currently im 2000+ hours total played but do you want to know how much multiplayer i have played? 5-6 hours , and that was only to upgrade a single class in order to bring it in singleplayer galaxy war map for 75 resources that's all. A shooter is nothing but a shooter no matter how many dlcs and add ons and multipacks and expansions you add.
