Someone really screwed up at EA/Origin. because shortly after Citadel was released on it, it was available to buy for 800BW that is 10$ But its upped to 1200now.

What will they do about it? If they act like nothing is happened its unfair to those who get it for 15$, but they can't ask those who got it for 10$ to pay an additional 5$ for nothing. So their only honest option is to lower the price to 10$ and refund everyone who paid 15$for it.

Nope. They announced it for 1200, so there's nothing unfair about it. The ones who got it for 800 are simply lucky (and I would have said that even if I hadn't gotten it for that much). They also can't make people pay the rest. That's how it legally is (AFAIK and in Germany).

Let's see if those versions work though, seems like some people who get the DLC for 800 MS points can't play the DLC.
And I'm still downloading, so I can't say anything.

If a company misprices a product (lower price than intended), then they obviously have to honor those purchases made at the lower price. When the mistake is noticed, they correct it and everyone after that pays the normal price. There's nothing unfair about paying 1200 BW.

It amazes me how many people are seemingly acting insulted over Chris' joke post... are you guys really taking it THAT seriously?

Have you seen how bad some of these forums get at times and NOW is the time you pick to take issue with a post that was obviously a joke?

BSN never ceases to amaze me....maybe thats why i always stick around. :)

It seems to "core fans" and "true rpgers" are a sensitive bunch.. =]

No it's just that Chris is one of the most unprofessional community representatives (or what ever the hell he is) I've seen for a major company.

I'm neither a core fan or true rpger, though I'm kinda interested in the DLC.

I actually don't understand why people care how much the additional content is? If it's too steep for you then don't buy it. It's $5 more than LOTSB and people are getting super crazy about it?

Well, I'm due to get it downloaded in about 6 hours, I'll find out then. I'm fully expecting, and prepared to pay the remainder.

Only honest option is to kick the ass of the one who is responsible for the mistake

I am sure it ain't worth it, don't get me wrong I agree, four new enemies, you get Wrex for only a little while, some alliance girl with info on some Cerberus dude, it sounds bad. I mean Tali and Shep preform a duet..................... But imagine if they don't make the probably thousands of dollars they spent on this they are basically going to take a hug hit. So, just don't buy it, I am not either so join the club. Case Closed.

Aren't these spoilers? If no sorry, i didn't read them all.

You shouldn't though. It was their mistake :D

And as for Chris, that may have been unprofessional, but he's right. I'm also not content with the pricing for Omega for example, but this one seems to deserve it.
And for companies to lower DLC prices gamers should all hold together and vote with their wallet. Which won't happen.

^ lol. I love how EA tries to save face by simply buying developers and yet they still make the most moronic mistakes.

Not sure. It says that i need online pass. But the people have experienced this problem when they install free Reckoning DLC. It can be just unfortunate coincidence.
However, this post makes me think otherwise:

Lol. But as I said, if the prices were listed like that they shouldn't be legally able to request us to pay the difference. At least I think I read about this here in Germany (I know, this ist 100th time I said this :D). I'll google it first before I'll request help if it doesn't work, so I can confront them with this if they want me to pay the rest xD

That said, DLC is downloaded. Wish me luck...

Hot damn, it works!! (at least I got to the appartment ;)). I think I won't get much sleep tonight :D

Oh and, I'm really sorry for the guy who botched this up. But I'm sure EA or Bioware won't go bankrupt just because some hundred people bought it for 400 MS points less! And I'll probably spend the rest of the points on the Appearance packs or on some DA2 DLC.

Wish the rest of you luck, peace out!

Who says both those things can't be true?

Chris's "unprofessionalism" is something we should all be grateful for, IMO.

My four year old doesn't whine as much.  People act as if the option to buy a DLC is a "need" instead of a "want".

I especially love the logic someone used about cost / value vs. length.  Especially when  the length is different for everyone.  $15 is three beers at the bar, folks.  Suck it up and stop crying in your Wheaties.

How about this DLC is an equivalent of about 10 beers in my country? Still think the same?.
Oh, I know, make some remarks about the country I live in....

I agree, the DLC is optional, I am not entitled to have it for less money, but from some time some BW staff have been condescending towards fans... usually in a "pff, I dont care if you dont like it, you dont have to buy it, now ****** off..." kind of way. Guess what, they SHOULD care why previously devoted fans are not buying their DLCs.

I think its kind of a WRONG way to run a buisiness.

It's around the same price of a movie. The sense of entitlement from gamers are getting worse every year.

All we're asking for is for them to at least try and justify the abnormally high price point. We're not asking for them to come over to our house and do our laundry, we're looking for reasonably priced content. And it's kind of disheartening as a long-time fan who has bought every single piece of content up to ME3 to see such an apathetic response from a developer to its community.

I was actually excited about this DLC, but now I remember why I was so disappointed with so much about the single player in this game.
