Nope, they actually can't. At least not in Germany (I think). And with the remaining points I'll have to buy Bioware stuff anyway.

 I also bought the dlc for 800 points. It originally said 1200 but then chanced to 800 points when I pressed "purchase"  Loading rly slow... 

Ps. My download is also 3.6 gb.

This is really weird. When I went to buy it it said 800 points, then when I went to put in my paysafe number it was 1200 points again (which I don't mind since that was what I was expecting), but after it went through with the payment and started downloading it it told me I had 400 points remaining. So are we getting a discount or is the shop freaking out?

This is the same exact thing I'm getting. Think it has something to do with the fact that it says "Your Order: 800 BioWare Points."

Yup - Download page showed 1200 points but when you click into it its selling for 800 points.  Now cant get it to work and thats frustrating :/

Alright, so I fixed my problem.

If you get the "Not found page" error, you need to add 400 more points, even if the order says 800.
Atleast it made it work for me.

But even then it said: Total balance after purchace: 400, I confirm and it now claims my new balance is 0 ._.

According to a friend of mine who just bought it the reason so many people get error messages is because you only have 800 bioware points. he just bought another 400 off the BSN site here and the purchase went through on origin, although it still showed 800 points it actually cost him 1200, sot hey fixed the price backend but not frontend yet.

Would it surprise you if I told you that a lot of countries from the "Eastern Bloc" get speeds like that ?
That's because a lot of them had to build new comm-infrastructure and went directly to fibre-optic cables instead of the old copper wires that a lot of other countries still use, mine included.

Though i'm not complaining, even though i'm "just" downloading with 1.2MB/s

Edit: Started with 0 points, bought the DLC, placed an order for 1200 points, ended the transaction with 0 points in the balance. Everything worked properly, then.

Yes, well... Reapers have a surprisingly good connection with planet Earth.

I live in the Netherlands, so most of you will never be able to grasp the awesome speeds that our ISPs provide.

Download rates are not only dependent on the ISP, but your location to the nearest Akamai/Limelight Networks CDN servers, which is what I think EA is using to host content. I have 2 mbps (megabits) internet (slow, I know), and I've been getting a paltry 50 kBps (kilobytes) on all my past downloads. Steam and other downloads on the other hand, are pretty good. Hoping this all changes today; my BF3 update seems to be chugging along currently at 195-200 kBps.

Can't read the entire thread, so TL;DR, how large is the total download?

I envy your idea of "slow" being 6mb/s. You know what slow is? Slow is the 400kb/s that I'm getting it at.

im happy with my 400KB/s its like my max speed possible... 6MB/s is a pipe dream for me
