the original reason for the seperation was because steam demanded that ea dont use in game methods for purchasing dlcs, that they had to use steams and would be charged accordingly.

Valve is a business like any other and all it cares about is making money, dont try and make it out to be any thing less than what its.

Same.  ME3 is also having issues connecting to EA's servers.  I thought I might pass the time with a bit of multiplayer, but the way things are going, the DLC will be released before I actually get a connection.

I reckon he meant the Origin servers, which could be under quite a heavy load due to all the Sim City downloads (which I personally don't understand, Sim City is a game for kids).

Ah, I didn't realize that. It worked out great for the Leviathan and Extended Cut saves I used (Garrus, Samantha, and Liara), so it maybe Rick fixed it in the later revision? I can't remember when the big SP patches were.

I'm using saveedit-r89_b113.  I've used it on some games and it hasn't worked on others it has.  No neither can I and I stopped playing SP for a bit.  Then over Christmas played all three games again from scratch.  The combat difference in ME made me appreciate ME3.

Well Origin is extremely laggy tonight, and i'm quite sure Mass Effect isn't to blame.
Sim City has a broad appeal to all kind of gamers, so all the casual players who only play a few days a week are online tonight.
This could smell like 5 hour download, but i sure hope i'm wrong.

I meant if EA bandwidth is so overloaded they can't max my rubbish connection then I'm not happy.... EA should have many Gigabits of bandwidth..

4GB would take at least 5 hours for me anyway.... UK broadband sucks.... unless you live in certain areas.

Happened to me too a few times today...I even changed my password which didn't help at all
