Hey, I was just curious about how many people create characters of the opposite gender? I have both male and female characters and just wondering how many of you do as well. Thanks!
Male or female characters?

I like to try out new things, so I play both. Since I play in character the sex choice makes a huge difference. The City Elf female feels very much different from the City Elf male, for example.

I, personally, tend to only play my own gender. I did roll up a guy to get my Witch Gone Wild achievement, though. Then I deleted him. I get to see the male-specific dialogues when my husband plays, so I'm not missing out too much.

I always play as a female (I am female) and only play male for achievements and to romance Morrigan.
And no, I am not an achievement ****, before anyone judges me, but it just pleases me that the only games for which I have all achievements are my BioWare ones

In DAO, both since they each give respectively access to different contents.

In many games, I create male characters, although I'm female as I frequently find the depiction of women irritating. That's not the case with this game (although the female body model isn't totally to my liking), and I like the end game options with the female character better in that I think you can get a happier ending. I never make assumptions about a person's gender based on their character.

I like to mix it up, yeah. I always start with a female though.

Generally I play the female character, due to the fact that in the past soo many role playing games only offered male characters as the leading role. I have created male characters though just to see how the story was different.

As my own gender (female), except to try the romance options in Bioware RPGs

I played through all the origins with both male and female characters to see the differences between the two, but I've finished the game with more female than male characters.

Definitely both. There is so much story to explore that it requires multiple playthroughs, and the differences between male and female games makes it totally worth trying.
My first play was a Male Mage, and he's still my favorite, but the story behind a female Dwarf Noble is incredible, for example.
Plus my wife likes to sit and help me make 'pretty' female characters.

I like to mix it up depending on the story I have setup and actual character design.

15 female toons. Veritable harem. No males to take advantage tho.

As a male gamer I tend to play mostly male characters but I do like playing through with a female toon so I can see the story. And whats the old joke about all men are just lesbians trapped in mens bodies. LOL

Both. Depends on the concept I have for the character when I create it.

I tend to always play male characters, but I also did like Tomb Raider. It doesn't really bother me to play a female character, but it's not my first choice.

I tend to play females in games where I have a choice, but this time I think I'll be playing as a male a few times. Atleast once though, to experience the other side of the City Elf Origin.
And at some point I really do want to play through JE as a male and see if the Sky romance differs at all.

I try to be equal.
But so far I've finished with 3 males, and only one female, and I'm trying to resist making another elf dude. Pfeh.

I like to see everything from different perspectives. In an RPG, I try to get everything out of it I can to get the full experience. DA is very good with the changing stories depending on who you choose ot be, which is cool.

I tend to create more females than males. But when there is gay romance to be had, I amp up the male PC roster.
