Ever since those freebie items went up back before Christmas I've been replaying the entire Dragon Age series. And as the title no doubt assures you I've just beaten Legacy again.

And it is so good.

I actually forgot how good the damned thing was. I did Mark of the Assassin before it and enjoyed it for what it was (largely a Tallis story but I got to shamelessly flirt with her constantly through the entire thing, and nab Isabela a pirate crew; winning all around). And while that DLC was enjoyable Legacy just blew my mind again.

I love the ambient character dialogue, I love the great looking locations, I love the great map layouts, I love how enemies use height and cover, I love how there's are two arena fights both involving height advantages and traps (and we can use them too!), I love the hidden boss fight, I love the Warden armor, I love the puzzles, I love the genlocks, I love Malcolm Hawke, I love the Hawke Key weapon, and I absolutely love the final fight with Cory.

And then there was the epilogue. My Hawke had lost Leandra, Carver, and Bethany and was mostly an agressive loner with few friends (Aveline and Isabela; everyone else were rivals or somewhere in-between). And that final scene inside Hawke's imagination talking to Leandra... that was great.

It's been too damn long since I played that DLC. I loved every second of it.
