You missed the memo? We all are! I go out hunting wrabbits every day.

Oh no no. Scratch that. My husband does that. I get the berries and veggies. No wait... I send the dog to do that.

Um, I cook the stuff on the hearth? Oh hell, I think the kids are doing that.

I don't do anything really. I'm sad.:(

I suppose you think food comes from the grocery store?

Uh, the food I eat does. Nobody hunts for their OWN food. Except perhaps you... and the rest of West Texas. And I guess Ted Nugent.

Fine, I stand corrected!

Wait wait wait.  I thought all of that Brit-bashing was because you're American?  Suddenly it all makes so much sense.  Only not.  It's still a mire of opinionated hogwash.

Most of it comes from farmers. And calling a farmer a hunter is really stretching it.

But I do like to eat moose though.

Well there is no hunting involved...meats..are from farmed raised animals that are slaughtered....the end..no hunting involved.

If my wife happened to enjoy cooking, then I'd let her, but I think it would be more interesting to spend the time together in the kitchen, cooking as a team.  There's also a major appeal to doing the dishes together.  It's about being a team, and filling the void(s) in each other's lives.

Not at the big Agribusiness farms.  Even before then, most farmers sent their animals to a slaughterhouse instead of doing it themselves.

Of course it's different! We make sex on the streets, walk around wrapped in leaves and right now i'm typing while sitting in a box of bananas. Never forgetting that we speak spanish, we are all called sanchez and our capitol is Buenos Aires, not Brasilia.

Nope, farmers just raise animals. When it's time they are sent to the slaughterhouses. Unless it's a REALLY big farm

Brit-bashing?  Brazil-bashing?  I'm not bashing them.  I'm simply acknowledging the fact that we are unlikely to share the same views.  It's no different from discussing politics with a Chinese person.  It just does not make sense to do that.

You were implying that all views are wrong if they do not correlate to what YOU view as correct....basjing under a different name, its semantics.

Funny now though you have/or did change your tune for a moment, but as this thread grows with more woman AND men, you really are losing this debate badly.

Go out and hunt for your food, look after your wife (who obviosuly cant think for herself or have a very high opinion of herself)....fix the Tv for her (cos your a man, and real men do that type of thing) while she cooks dinner for you, and live happily ever after :)

That's just the thing.  Too many of you are are so tainted by the easy acquisition of money in our luxurious society.  You do not seem capable of comprehending a life in an unforgiving frontier.  (Yes.  Life during a Blight is hard, and society breaks down.)

Sure, as a woman (or even most men), you may think you're completely capable of driving to the store to purchase your groceries, then drive home (to your comfortable house/apartment) to cook it.  You don't have wolves, lions, tigers, or bears constantly encroaching upon your living spaces.  You don't have to worry about roving bandits ransacking your homes with no one to turn to.  You have the police, fire department, paramedics, hospitals, grocery stores, etc.

They don't have that all over Ferelden (especially during a Blight).  We wouldn't have that either if our society crumbles.  Your view of your role would drastically change under those conditions.

Personally on this debate (and I must be a real sissy, not a real man at all) I would love to stay at home and look after the kids while a woman went out to work....bothers me not one bit that she would be the bread winner.

Just imagine how I could 'look after you' after a hard day at work (winks)....

Role definition died 50 years ago EJ, get over it dude.
