What I'm talking about is there was a good debate.
Then it turned into some wishing physical pain and name-calling, which is sort of a laugh seeing as what the topic was.
I learned in my debate class that the debate is over once one party starts insulting the other, though. Ah well.
One thing I've learned is not to lose your temper, because once you do that - and show you've done that - you've lost.
It's pretty hard staying calm sometimes, though, especially as I am not by nature the most level-headed of people <_<

What do you wanna bet that if he was ugly then absolutely no one would be talking about him?

That would make an excellent cartoon! And I say this as a dedicated Alistair fangirl.Bibdy wrote...
I don't think Alistair would have problems killing the mouse. I think he'd get you on the phone, ask for your assessment on the situation, wait for your decision, and when you order him to kill the mouse, he'll hang up, stab a sword through its head, then call you back up and complain to you about the decision you made.

First time I saw/spoke to Alistair, I thought one thing: He sounds like he's got a speech impediment - and I did not find him good-looking at all.
However, it cannot be argued that he is ugly (well, it probably can, actually, but not by me), so perhaps you are right. Only, for me, his personality made me like his looks, rather than the other way around.

Okay that's that, carry on.
Anonymous guy hit it on the head.
As to the OP. I'll admit that Alistair was a bit of a pain with his, "But I don't want to be king!" Although when I pointed out that the alternative was that back-stabbing wench, it seemed to reduce the favour reduction.
When he lops off the head of that back-stabbing wenches traitorous father, I actually whooped IRL and clapped.
That said, he did ****** me off at times in game, but IRL? Nothing wrong with Beta males, at least they have the courage to follow.

British people are great. You can poke them with a stick, and they get all huffy. Then they become more interesting.

I hate dishwashers. My mum's got one and everything comes out looking like it's encrusted in Weetabix

I can understand both views......guess this makes me genderless.
I find Alistair annoying at times, he could have more input throughout the game, but he is still my favorite character, as there is more to him beneath the surface.
I do think that a womans first and foremost place is to care for her kids and as a single mom of 3 I find it difficult to drop them at school, work till I get to pick them up and then do all cooking and cleaning.
Its always better then to be married to a guy who is to lazy to do anything and expects you to go to work, nurse the kids and then complain that diner is 15 minutes late. Now thats what I call whiny.

Seriously, that game had the best video game romance i've seen so far, even if he was very annoying at times. And Rinoa and the rest of the sorceress' were hot
