The young, foolish me used to call in sick when an all-night session sapped my energy. Then after being out of work for three years, losing a wife and child, etc. sorta inspired me to forge a new work ethic.

Yes, but back when I started on the Net. Now I see so many numbers, odd monikers, and names, it becomes a gigantic blur.

Yes, though it was a rare thing over the past 30 yrs. Once, I arrived 10 min early, and my co-worker had already called the Mgr and Hwy Patrol because I normally arrived at least 30 min early to aid in Shift transfers.

Yeah, I've had to deal with that. I asked out a girl I briefly dated in college to a movie and she said yes, after that first reply she never said anything else. Not a huge deal, since girls come and go, so I asked my best friend to see the movie with me. We had all but agreed on the time, when suddenly I stopped hearing back from him, and haven't since. I really wasn't expecting that from him, especially since we've known each other since we were young. But since then I've learned a valuable lesson in not giving a **** about it. If people value your friendship they'll go out of their way to talk to you, and be around you.
