Yes; took Computer Programming in four languages back in the days of BASIC, Pascal, Fortran, and COBOL. Sadly, I cannot type well, so the Assoc Degree was more for gaining basic courses for my future B.A.

Yeah, I actually start licking my lips a lot when I'm nervous. It's quite silly. My last ex-girlfriend pointed that out to me. Before she told me I didn't even know/realize I had that habit.

More or less, I've been whale-watching in Iceland, on a medium-sized fishing boat. (There I've learned that I'm completely immune to sea-sickness, unlike most other people on the boat. Ew. )

No. I'm what you'd call an objectivist. I believe there is an objective truth out there and an objective reality and we can just scratch the surface of that reality because of our limited senses and knowledge.

Depends what you mean by crazy. I've met many people who have what I'd consider highly reduced mental functioning - easily confused old people - or some form of severe social anxiety to an extent where they break down crying if they think they've done something wrong.

But... I've not met anyone who can't tell the difference between existent and non-existent things. Outside of the philosophy department, of course. Though even there I expect they can - I tried trading imaginary money for real money once, but the prof wasn't having it despite his arguing for a half hour that we didn't have the criteria to make a clear distinction

Oh yes. I had a government job and my boss was a miserable human being. Thei idea of working there for the next twenty odd years made me go back to school to get an advanced degree and leave.
