Yes, in my military service time I once didn't sleep for three days straight, + demanding PT, on day three I suffered from severe tunnel vision.

I once got into a snowstorm at 3300 meters altitude, I only wore a thin jacket and jeans, it took me four hours to get to a hut, several times I just wanted to sit down and rest for a while - which would certainly have been my death.
