Used to only score well with infiltrators, and still do, but I got too much cr@p from Megabeast I had to branch out. I may not score as high with other classes, but I consider myself a much better player now.
It has also greatly improved my knowledge of game mechanics.

Not all people has Omni capability skills. So it doesn't matter who you gonna play.

But it's worth to give a chance using other kits at last decently.

Survive a gold match using another character other than infiltrator is good enough, so why not

Depends on how good.  If you can solo Platinum in 25 minutes with your best class, then you're a good player, even if you can't do Gold/Platinum with a lot of other classes.  If you can only do Gold/Platinum with an infiltrator, then you're probably not a very good all-around player.

A well played Vanguard is easily the sign of a GREAT player IMO... because the great ones will get good with every class and the scrubs always avoid this class like the plague. It also shows they can handle the fast-paced, balls to the wall playstyle... it most surely means they know how to abuse the gate system, and that they have excellent situational awareness/target prioritization.

Watching ManBearPig crush PLATINUM with his off-host Drell Vanguard brings a tear to my eye... it's just so F'n beautiful.

I watched Ashen double everyone's score a couple nights ago with a Phoenix Vanguard... including mine. I was the best I've ever seen that class played.

I have manbear on my friendslist but he's never on when I am.

It probably means that you are relying too much on cloak. It doesn't mean you suck- but if you don't feel confident playing with other characters then it is going to restrict your choices .
One of the best things about ME MP is that there are so many great characters to choose and to learn to play. Why restrict yourself to one class ?

score means nothing. there are excepption ofcoursne if some one scre like 40000 in a gold fame or w.e. but some people myself is not in a hurry to kill every spawn. i hate campin im not young bull who likes to have intercouse with every sheep right away.. those sheep gonna come to me before i give dem the big daddy reegar dingo

Absolutely, most definitely yes.  Anyone who can only play infiltrators well is probably a Harrier Lancer carrying noob, but that's ok.  Noobs are welcome in the game.  We were noobs once.

I don't think a good player should be good with every class. Some players are exteremly good with one class because it suits their play-style. Its not just ME3, you can see this in any game. For example I have a friend who play BF3 and do amazing stuff with Recon Kit. But he sucks at every other Kit.

This is true in real military also. They give people roles based on their skill set. And I don't think a soldier can do well in all the available specializations.

So if a player can do well with one kit, he is a good player. If he can do well with all the kits, then he is just extra-ordinary.

Only infiltrators... yes you are effectively not a rounded player, but that doesn't mean it's bad.

Everyone needs an infiltrator one game or another, you'll just be stuck in a role like Healers on MMOs lol.

DGAF what others think about how I play the game.

saying that, if you can play the female quarian and shadow infiltrator well you are probably a good player . If you need a Tgi or Aiu to do well, probably not

No it doesn't mean you suck. I play many different kits on Gold but for Platinum I seem to play infiltrators about 60% of the time because they do do higher dps than most of the kits.

i love infiltrators because im a big metal gear solid fan  among other stealthy games, so i actually like to use sniper rifles, but if you can ONLY use infiltrators, who are actually better with shotguns than sniper rifles, hell yes youre bad.
there are players like that that exist, for sure.

It would probably matter more if it was possible to change classes ingame and it was pvp.

As it is... Not so much.

In any case I tend to think of it as the weightlifting and bikeriding sportsman/woman. Sure he/she would get alot of hours in but prooobably wouldn't be good at either.
