"There is high potential for tears." Yes, yes there is. Very high. Tears of stunned disbelieving laughter.
I just met the clone and immediately shut down the game to read this thread.
This isn't as bad as the endings. Oh no. This is much... so much worse.
When we asked for P. Lazarus to be important... this was... the FARTHEST thing I think most people wanted.
Why is it bad?
ERMAGERD EVIL CLONE! [I've played farther now] And everyone's making wisecracks, even Shep about "I should go." ...I mean... what the flying blank. This would make for a great story AFTER THE REAPERS are dealt with. Seriously. It's PERFECT for that time. But not having Shepard being controlled by the Reapers is just...
That could've been cool. That could've been immensely satisfying. But nope. It's just... an evil clone. Yeah. Okay. Right. This mission has me laughing so hard, sometime with actual joy, but mostly with pity that BioWare think they have any artistic integrity left. This is fanservice and unoriginality at it's finest.
One positive thing is that I'm actually really pissed at the clone, but I think that's mostly because of how ridiculous and unbelievable it is.
