I think they probably were more involved in the writing for character interactions, not the plot.

No. It´s BW actions what has turned the BSN into this. Despite what some mods says, this is way beyond what  happened after ME2, DA:O and even DA2 combined. Pretending it isn´t there will only result in lower sales in the future.

Ahem, Saren's clone Krogan on Virmire, Warlord Okeer's clones on Korlus, Grunt, even Miranda to a degree, but certainly Oriana.  Clones are not unheard of in the MEU, they're actually pretty standard.
