I have been editing several dialogues and for some reason the "generate gestures for line command" stopped working. In the log it says it works, but no gestures are generated. Looking at other dialogues where it worked, the only difference in the line settings seems to be that "lock tag" is greyed out, which seems to be irrellevant to what I'm trying to do but may point to the overall problem. Does anyone know why this is happening?

I've seen such lines. Could it be that they are too short for any animations to fit the length of the VO? Nothing else comes to mind.

That's what I thought at first but it's not working for any of the added lines in this dialogue, even the very long ones.

I'm rather embarrassed to post the solution to my question but here it is anyway-
I just noticed that when "root" is selected in the global settings tab there is a box that says "lock gestures". Needless to say it was checked. It's never been checked in a dlg before so I didn't notice it. Yeah, pretty stupid.
