Damnit, no Citadel for me then in the foreseeable future.
And that Javik romance was almost, almost enough to get me buying the DLC.
You're kidding, right? There is so much stuff in Citadel, it's hard to get hung up on one bonus power.

Not kidding. Citadel might be a nice DLC, but ultimately it is only fanservice, not actually adding content to the story. And a bonus power I could use for more than the DLCs duration would have been acceptable fanservice for me.
But for that price and nothing really endearing for me, I'll pass.

If you're looking for something you can take with you to the rest of the campaign, then the Lancer is as good as any bonus power. Light, powerful, with the same cooldown mechanic as the particle rifle. The Suppressor is somewhat less useful, as there are already a lot of heavy, hard-hitting semi-auto pistols.
Still not worth 15 bucks for me.
Now, if we had Annihilation Field for SP coming with this DLC, then I'd be sold. Shepard Vanguard with BC/AF/Nova would be too good to pass up. But without that Citadel just offers too little for that hefty pricing.
My opinion and it's not going to change, so no one should try and waste time for coming up with pro-arguments. It's all in good spirit I know and appreciate it, but not going to change my resolution.

Sorry about the earlier post. Eric and I have been investigating and it seems like this never actually made it to in game status. We had planned one, but it seems to have been missed.
Wait, what? How did that even happen?

I can't imagine really wanting to do that for SP. regular Vanguard with Nova is already cheap enough.Neofelis Nebulosa wrote...

I know, that's why I haven't even played the SP Vanguard yet. It's so powerful it's crossing a line.
But throw Annihilation Field onto that, and it's crossing the line again! And then it'd be just bloody hilarious! Much like smashing your opponent on a RTS match and leaving his last building seperating him from defeat alive to wait for your superweapon and then NUKE HIM FROM ORBIT! Nothing is better (and I can say that even though I have been on the receiving end of that a couple times too, it's still a great way to go!)!!!

I imagine that setup would trivialize the Mirror Match in Armax too.

Or quite possibly make it impossible to win. Either way it would be pure, undiluted awesomesauce.
But without it, no sell.

At least not for that price.

Eh, it is well over 4 hours if you do everything without skipping dialogue.Neofelis Nebulosa wrote...

Granted it was my first run through, but my playlist is 4.5hrs w/o most of the Armax challenges recorded.
There are also several iterations of various scenes (like the party...). Lancer and Suppressor (which is probably the best gun for SP, not the Lancer) are very handy. The weapon mods aren't too shabby either.
But to each their own. I bought the actual game the week it came out for only $30 shipped, so yeah it is in fact a relatively poor "investment" if that is your baseline.

How on earth did you get the game in release week for thirty bucks?

I don't know why they sold it that cheap. But I didn't complain.

I have to give you props for being one of the most honest people I've seen on the Internet.
(Genuine, not sarcastic. Most people argue/debate on the Internet thinking they can change the other person's mind but the truth is most people cannot be persuaded of anything, they have to persuade themselves.)

So... do we know what this bonus power was, or if we're ever going to get it?
The power was most likely Stimulant Packs, as Wrex has them as one of his powers. I doubt that we'll get it though, as that would require a patch or a new DLC.

the dlc was a knock off of a saints row the third dlc.no new bonus powers is a really let down.they could have given all the former squad mates a new power for Shepard to learn & what is with all the ceberus armor..i want new stuff for this dlc & nothing happen.the armor should have been n7 demolisher,ny destroyer & an n7 armor based on the turian ghost infiltrator.wepans wise i would have like to gotten the m-100 grenade launcher,m-622 avalanche & the collector weapons.for the bonus power i would have like to unlocked thesse powers:
from Zaeed:submission net
Kasumi Goto: drill rounds
Miranda Lawson:arc grenades
Jacob Taylor:smash
Wrex: biotic protector
Samara: biotic sphere
Jack: annihilation field
when the dlc is completed you unlock
seeker swarms,homing grenade,biotic hammer & dark sphere
This would've been a great way to implement more MP powers into SP. Each temporary squadmate's bonus power would unlock when you purchase their ally license via prizes in the Armax Arena. Each temp. squadmate has only one bonus power for a total of 8 bonus powers.
Wrex: Biotic Charge, Barrier, Carnage, Stimulant Packs
Zaeed: Concussive Shot, Disruptor Ammo, Inferno Grenade, Submission Net
Kasumi: Tactical Cloak, Overload, Decoy, Tactical Scan
Miranda: Overload, Warp, Stasis, Snap Freeze
Jacob: Incendiary Ammo, Pull, Barrier, Arc Grenade
Grunt: Concussive Shot, Incendiary Ammo, Fortification, Multi-Frag Grenade
Samara: Pull, Throw, Reave, Biotic Sphere
Jack: Pull, Shockwave, Warp Ammo, Annihilation Field
Additional bonus powers, Collector weapons, and a new armor set would also be unlocked by completing various challenges in the Armax Arena.
Geth Challenge:
Defeat elite Geth enemies with a gold rank to unlock the Geth Turret bonus power.
Defeat super elite Geth enemies with a gold rank to unlock the Cain Trip Mine bonus power.
Reaper Challenge:
Defeat elite Reaper enemies with a gold rank to unlock the Biotic Focus bonus power.
Defeat super elite Reaper enemies with a gold rank to unlock the Biotic Orbs bonus power.
Cerberus Challenge:
Defeat elite Cerberus enemies with a gold rank to unlock the Phase Disruptor bonus power.
Defeat super elite Cerberus enemies with a gold rank to unlock the Recon Mine bonus power.
Collector Challenge:
Defeat basic Collector enemies with a gold rank to unlock the Collector SMG.
Defeat elite Collector enemies with a gold rank to unlock the Collector Sniper Rifle.
Defeat super elite Collector enemies with a gold rank to unlock the Dark Sphere bonus power.
Mirror Challenge:
Complete a mirror match to unlock the Cat6 Heavy armor for male Shepard, and the Cat6 Sniper armor for female Shepard.
Would've been an epic way to unlock lots of new content. Wish these powers/content were implemented, but I still have to say that Citadel DLC is one of the best DLC of the Mass Effect series.
