the dlc was a knock off of a saints row the third dlc.no new bonus powers is a really let down.they could have given all the former squad mates a new power for Shepard to learn & what is with all the ceberus armor..i want new stuff for this dlc & nothing happen.the armor should have been n7 demolisher,ny destroyer & an n7 armor based on the turian ghost infiltrator.wepans wise i would have like to gotten the m-100 grenade launcher,m-622 avalanche & the collector weapons.for the bonus power i would have like to unlocked thesse powers:
from Zaeed:submission net
Kasumi Goto: drill rounds
Miranda Lawson:arc grenades
Jacob Taylor:smash
Wrex: biotic protector
Samara: biotic sphere
Jack: annihilation field
when the dlc is completed you unlock
seeker swarms,homing grenade,biotic hammer & dark sphere

This would've been a great way to implement more MP powers into SP. Each temporary squadmate's bonus power would unlock when you purchase their ally license via prizes in the Armax Arena. Each temp. squadmate has only one bonus power for a total of 8 bonus powers.

Wrex: Biotic Charge, Barrier, Carnage, Stimulant Packs
Zaeed: Concussive Shot, Disruptor Ammo, Inferno Grenade, Submission Net
Kasumi: Tactical Cloak, Overload, Decoy, Tactical Scan
Miranda: Overload, Warp, Stasis, Snap Freeze
Jacob: Incendiary Ammo, Pull, Barrier, Arc Grenade
Grunt: Concussive Shot, Incendiary Ammo, Fortification, Multi-Frag Grenade
Samara: Pull, Throw, Reave, Biotic Sphere
Jack: Pull, Shockwave, Warp Ammo, Annihilation Field

Additional bonus powers, Collector weapons, and a new armor set would also be unlocked by completing various challenges in the Armax Arena.

Geth Challenge:
Defeat elite Geth enemies with a gold rank to unlock the Geth Turret bonus power.
Defeat super elite Geth enemies with a gold rank to unlock the Cain Trip Mine bonus power.

Reaper Challenge:
Defeat elite Reaper enemies with a gold rank to unlock the Biotic Focus bonus power.
Defeat super elite Reaper enemies with a gold rank to unlock the Biotic Orbs bonus power.

Cerberus Challenge:
Defeat elite Cerberus enemies with a gold rank to unlock the Phase Disruptor bonus power.
Defeat super elite Cerberus enemies with a gold rank to unlock the Recon Mine bonus power.

Collector Challenge:
Defeat basic Collector enemies with a gold rank to unlock the Collector SMG.
Defeat elite Collector enemies with a gold rank to unlock the Collector Sniper Rifle.
Defeat super elite Collector enemies with a gold rank to unlock the Dark Sphere bonus power.

Mirror Challenge:
Complete a mirror match to unlock the Cat6 Heavy armor for male Shepard, and the Cat6 Sniper armor for female Shepard.

Would've been an epic way to unlock lots of new content. Wish these powers/content were implemented, but I still have to say that Citadel DLC is one of the best DLC of the Mass Effect series.

That would be pretty chill. Hopefully they use this opportunity to give us some goodies when/if we get the planned bonus power.

That's a great breakdown - I had simliar thoughts and was hoping Bioware would do something like this. It's a bit of a tragedy considering many MP powers would work easily in SP (All the new powers in the first MP DLC can be accessed via PC Tweaks, and they work great).

Just to extend the idea, keep in mind that each ME3 squaddie unlocks two powers. You could theoretically assign two MP powers to each ME2 squadmate to potentially unlock.  For instance:

WrexBiotic Charge, Barrier, Homing GrenadeStimulant Packs
Zaeed: Disruptor Ammo, Inferno Grenade, FlamerSubmission Net
Kasumi: Tactical Cloak, Overload, Ballistic BladesTactical Scan
Miranda: Overload, Warp, Biotic ProtectorSnap Freeze
Jacob: Incendiary Ammo, Pull, SmashArc Grenade
Grunt: Concussive Shot, Incendiary Ammo, Blade ArmorMulti-Frag Grenade
Samara: Pull, Throw, Dark SphereBiotic Sphere
Jack: Pull, Shockwave, Biotic OrbsAnnihilation Field

Of course, that leaves the following as various potential challenge unlocks:

Geth Turret
Phase Disruptor
Recon Mine
Cain Trip Mine

I wouldn't include Biotic Focus, personally. Seems quite specific to the Cabal Vanguard.

20 new powers.  Amazing how many powers were introduced in MP, huh?  Such easy content to bring into SP, too...

Hold on a minute...

I think the former squaddies should have stayed closer to their former skillsets. Sure you can add an extra random power in, but you shouldn't be rewriting their abilities.

Wrex: Barrier, Carnage, Throw, Stim packs
Zaeed: Concussive Shot, Disruptor Ammo, Inferno Grenades, Submission Net (good idea above)
Kasumi: Tactical Cloak, SHADOW STRIKE, Overload, Arc Grenade
Miranda: Warp, Overload, Slam, Snap Freeze (she is the Ice Queen...)
Jacob: Incendiary Ammo, Pull, Barrier, Smash
Grunt: Concussive Shot, Incendiary Ammo, Fortification (Blade Armor is Batarian), MultiFrag Grenade (I like that idea)
Samara: Pull, Throw, Reave, Biotic Sphere
Jack: Pull, Shockwave, Warp Ammo, Dark Sphere

Some of the other bonus powers are somewhat questionable IMO.

Biotic Protector is just useless. Why would you want it?

On the other side of the spectrum, Annihilation Field would just be massively overpowered most likely.

Some of the other things are just sort of in the middle. TacScan is an ok debuff I suppose, but I don't know why it would be a big deal to have.

Homing grenades, ditto. They aren't that great.

Flamer is a good power, and it might be neat to get it though.

Blade Armor is Batarian, and really we have enough DR powers in SP as it is.

Just as long as the temporary squadmates get at least one bonus power each, I'm okay with whatever new power they bring. But as you said, some are questionable. For example, the fancy-over-the-top Electric and Biotic Slash wouldn't fit. Nor would the Krolord's Hammer powers and Talon Merc's Arrow powers.

Agreed with Biotic Protector. I never spec for it with Nyreen.

I agree that with a Vanguard, AF would break the game. But what about other classes? It would work great with Adepts and Sentinels, granted one can get in close range. But non-biotics will struggle more without any biotic detonating powers.

TacScan is a great debuff, and it looks cool. Great against boss fights, especially Harvesters.

Sure, Homing Grenades aren't the best, but still, it'd be nice if we at least get the option to use them.

Flamer would work, but probably not on a squadmate. Best to keep it as a bonus power unlock in the Armax Arena.

Blade Armor would look weird on Shepard, and yeah, too many defense powers. Best to keep it as Batarian-specific.

All this talk about other bonus powers makes me wonder what builds would break the game.

Infiltrator with Tactical Cloak and Dark Sphere spec'd for detonation would be extremely powerful, and Shadow Strike would work great as well. Of course, the most obvious, Novaguard with Annihilation Field or Phase Disruptor.

One problem about Shadow Strike is the animation. Shepard and Kasumi don't have swords, so how would this work? Maybe use heavy melee?

In ME2 Kasumi hit them with her omnitool active, so it was some sort of tech melee.  Should be the same in this game.  It could just have the Engineer / Infiltrator melee at the end instead of a sword.  No new animation to create.

Kasumi invented the power, which is why I think it is somewhat irritating that she doesn't have her trademark.

I suppose you could say Flashbangs were sort of a trademark as well, and something that maybe should have been implemented in this game, but we have Shadow Strike in MP... should be in SP at the least on Kasumi even if it isn't a BP.

This. I LOVED Kasumi in ME2, she was hands down my favorite squadmate. She was funny and she had the best squadmate power IMO. It dealt a ton of damage and it offset the idea of squadmates being squishy and borderline useless during ME2 insanity. Shadow Strike would always keep her alive if she was cornered or about to die.

She was the first squadmate I bought at Armax, and boy was I pissed when I saw her loadout. I don't even understand why they gave her AP ammo, it makes no sense to me (Proximity Mine would've made more sense). Decoy makes some sense, but the power is bassically useless. Plain Tactical Cloak is just too tedious on a squadmate. To make any use out of it, you have to constantly order Cloak, then Overload. If you don't micromanage her, she'll just cloak, then SMG burst (which does almost nothing).

They probably couldn't make Shadow Strike work on Kasumi for technical reasons. There really is no other explanation.

The N7 Shadow in MP uses shadow strike, so it's definitely not a technical limitation.

He probably meant her AI, since she is an NPC.  I would have figured they could have reused some of the logic from ME2, but I don't know how different this game is, nor do I do that sort of thing for a living.

There's no way someone as lame as Jacob can use Arc Grenades.

Smash is too cool for Jacob also. Maybe easier to just give him his original 3 powers and call it a day. :wizard:

Who knows? Maybe Jacob learned some new tricks between ME2 and ME3. ;)

Like how to cheat on female Shepard? :pinched: But I guess Smash would be the best bonus power for him.

Also, I managed to give myself Wrex's Stimulant Pack as a bonus power via PC console commands. Ah, the power of PC mods (of course, only for Singleplayer).

One thing to note, though, is that there isn't any visual effect on Shepard to show when Stimulant Pack is active, and when it wears off, unlike the Turian Havoc/Ghost's Stim Packs. Still, it's a very powerful bonus power, and that was with an Engineer. Imagine with a Novaguard build.

So I was looking in the dlc files and I found a file called WrexBonusPower.pcc. So yes, stim pack was indeed going to be the bonus power. It might be possible for PC players to get it though if we can find the ID for it since it is in the game files. For example there is even intel bonuses that where cut that are possible to obtain since we have the IDs.

So no bonus power then. I wonder if there's some way to edit the ini file to unlock or replace whats already available.

Stim pack is in the game and the file for it is also in the game, so it should be possible. We just need osmeone to dig into the files deep and find the ID so we can add it to the power shop.

It cannot be unlocked by playing the Citadel DLC. It looks like it can only be unlocked by modding.

Would it be possible to put that ID into the power store and be able to select it from there?
