And that's where I have to stop you. Because on consoles you don't have the level of hacking, and illegal modding as you would in PC FPS.
*snip*
Indeed. But pretty much all FPS games with high amount of cheating and illegal modding are, in fact, console ports (like MW2 or Borderlands) with no dedicated server support or decent anti-cheating system. I'm playing TF2 since release and seen only one cheater so far and he was kicked by admin in about 10 min.
On topic: If DA:O was designed for consoles I'd say buy console version but for this game my suggestion is to buy PC version if your machine can handle it.

there really isn't any excuse for not having a PC that's better than a 360 in 2010.
Actually buddy you're 100% wrong. Quite a few people who are gamers have been hit pretty hard by the failing economy. Not everyone has about $500-$1000 to spend on PC upgrades, and that's without the labor some places will charge to install new parts. Also not many people have the knowledge needed to open up a case and place in more RAM, hell most people don't even know that there are different types.

500 to 1000 to be better than a 360? You didn't need that much to build a system that's better than 360 when the 360 was released. I'm not talking about a state of art gaming machine, I'm talking better than a console which is really all you need for DA:O. For most people, all they need is a better video card. It takes a couple of hours of reading articles on Tom's Hardware and watching videos on YouTube to figure out how to assemble a PC so I won't buy ignorance as an excuse. If you had enough money to own a PC and a 360, you had enough money for a gaming PC. If you aren't willing to learn basics of how a computer works you don't belong in the 21st century.

I wouldn't buy another PC in a million years. Mac for writing, Xbox for gaming, and I couldn't be happier.

When choosing which platform to game on - as with so much in life - it is quite reasonable for different people to make different choices. Seeing that someone else made a different choice to you does not invalidate your choice.

Different formats. No need to compare.
End of line.

personally i love buying and building my own PC the ground up.
PC gaming is not just for elitists and your hairy dad, it's easily the most flexible platform out there. u can game, write, explore, make your living off it.
i'm an architecture student and i'd be dead in the water without my PC, my widescreen and precise mouse.
ArchiCAD is a royal pain on the Mac.
....so...what exactly CAN'T u do on a PC that u can do on other platforms? play split-screen? no loss there.

I miss the higher resolution and the radial menus are kind of clunky, but I enjoy the trophy support and it freed up alot of hard drive space on my PC.

LOL, I have a guy at work who does it to me every time we talk about the game. I play on Xbox and he on his PC. I'm sure the PC version is much better. The mods alone make it worth it. But alas, I game on consoles and am to stubborn to change for now.
I be that guy. PC is the way to go. I play at 1440x900 @ 8X AA and the game is beautiful and unbelievable control. Not downing the consoles, but I can't imagine gaming without AA. It makes a world of difference and makes a good game look great. IMHO
LilTenou, we'll get you gaming with the big boys soon enough
